As the weather warms up we need to prepare for those nasty allergies and an increase in skin conditions.

Our Jack Russell LOVES frolicking in the grass during the warmer weather but inevitably gets horrible red rashes all over his belly.

Anti Itch Spray is our go-to, it’s completely natural, crafted from unfiltered Apple Cider Vinegar.

Chicken Drumsticks are a great Enrichment activity, working your doggo's jaw, cleaning their teeth and are high in protein and calcium. We have removed the skin to reduce the fat content in the drumsticks, but these treats should still be used as "sometimes treats".

The drumsticks have been slowly air-dried to ensure nutrients are retained.

A major part of why started The Treat Jar is that we wanted to create pet treats from fresh, seasonal, local produce.

This means that sometimes raw material that for half of the year is super easy to source (Turkey for example is only readily available in the lead up to Christmas) is not available through the remainder of the year.

Fresh eggs (chook, quail, duck) are in short supply during winter as birds stop laying over the colder months and let their bodies regenerate for breeding season going through a moult.

Herbs, vegetables and fruits are generally seasonally only available during the warmer months.

We could just pop into Woolworths and purchase imported veggies, or raw meats to make your doggos treats but that’s not what we are about.

Please be patient with us if your order takes a little longer than expected, or if your doggos faves are not available.

For those who can't stomach feeding your dog RAW, we created patties!

These ground whole prey quails have everything intact. The feathers, internal organs, bones and blood provides a high concentration of vitamins and minerals.

Feed as a meal or part of a meal, depending on the size of your dog

One quail per pattie.

Air dried slowly at low temperature.

Will last for 12 months if stored in a cool dry place.
