Congratulations Cam ! We are so fortunate to have had you in our team for nearly 22 years. From a fresh faced new graduate from UQ to the enormously knowledgeable, talented and passionate equine veterinarian you are today.

Thank you for your commitment to our team, to our clients and of course to the beautiful and noble patients we care for. Here’s to another 22 years!

🌟🐴 EVA Member of the Month – Dr Cameron Hosking 🐴🌟

This month we are delighted to recognise Dr Cameron Hosking, a valued member of the EVA community and a veterinarian well known for his calm manner, gentle approach, and the strong relationships he builds with both clients and colleagues. Cameron is widely respected for his dedication to horse welfare and his thoughtful, compassionate care of every patient he sees.

Cameron joined the team at Cooroora Veterinary Clinic in 2003 after graduating from the University of Queensland. While he initially worked across both small and large animals, his passion for equine practice soon saw his days increasingly focused on horses.

One of Cameron’s particular areas of interest is equine dentistry. He finds great satisfaction in seeing the rapid improvement in a horse’s wellbeing and performance following dental treatment, something that brings relief to horses and plenty of smiles from owners and riders alike. In recognition of his expertise, Cameron was admitted as a Member of the Australian and New Zealand College of Veterinary Scientists (Equine Dentistry) in 2012 after successfully completing examinations.

Cameron also has a keen interest in lameness and the care of performance horses, helping horses perform comfortably and at their best.

Outside of veterinary work, Cameron enjoys spending time with his wife Deanne, their children Ewan and Deanna, and their much-loved four-legged family.

We thank Cameron for his ongoing contribution to the equine veterinary community and for the care and dedication he shows to horses and their people every day.

If you would like to nominate a colleague for EVA Member of the Month, please get in touch with the EVA Dr Paula Williams (Social Media team).

This weeks’ profile is Bec!

Bec joined the Cooroora Vet team in 2025 as a mixed veterinarian and has loved every minute of caring for our community’s animals. As a mixed vet, Bec is passionate about treating all creatures great and small — from beloved family pets to hardworking livestock.

When she’s not in the clinic or out on farm calls, you’ll find Bec looking after her own cattle, taking her dogs to the beach, or heading off on a camping adventure with friends. Bec feels incredibly fortunate to work in a profession that lets her combine her love of animals, the outdoors, and the local community every day.

It is with great excitement that we welcome Dr Tamika back from maternity leave this week.

Tamika has welcomed two beautiful boys during her time away and is keen to get back on the road with the rest of our team. With Tamika’s return, this brings our Equine/large animal team to 7 vets, making us the largest equine team in the region.

Welcome back Tamika!

Please be aware that Noosa Council will be upgrading the pathway and driveways along Diamond St.

These works will be commencing this coming Monday, 5th of January and will take a couple of weeks to complete. Subject to weather.
