We will take you riding through some of the beautiful somerset countryside and along the Brisbane Valley Rail Trail so you can enjoy the outdoors and local

wildlife. You will ride on one of our well trained friendly horses that are lovely to ride. We aren't the typical 'nose to tail' trail riding business. You have a lot of freedom riding our horses. We have some amazing rides for you to experience ranging from a one hour ride to mustering experiences to a five day pub crawl! We have the ride and horse to suit you. We have a back entrance to our property which is via Larsens rd, Coominya.
On the corner of Willaura dr & Larsens rd, there is a dirt road (Larsens rd continued). Drive for 1km down the dirt road and you will see the sign at our driveway. The driveway is long, but keep going and you will find us.

Two days of riding, one night stay, many laughs, friendships made and most of all great horses and riding!

About our Esk experience

Starting from our property in Coominya, we ride our trusty steeds along the scenic Brisbane Valley Rail Trail towards Esk. Stopping halfway to rest & have a saddle bag lunch, then continue our trek into the gorgeous town of Esk.

After the horses are fed & put to bed, we will head to The Grand Hotel, where a good warm shower, delicious dinner & cold drinks are the order of the day.

The next morning we will enjoy a big brekky at the local cafe, then saddle up & ride back to Coominya. We often see koalas & other Aussie wildlife along the trail.

The ride is approx 4hrs each day with the horses walking, trotting & cantering along the trail. An intermediate level of riding is recommended (capable at a rising trot & some canter experience). This trek is very popular & we have been hosting the Esk Experience for over 8 years.

$980pp (includes saddle bag lunch, Grand Hotel dinner, cafe breakfast & 1 night accommodation)

To book your place $450pp deposit is required & the balance due 3 weeks before trip departure.

Picture this… five incredible days exploring the rolling countryside of Queensland on horseback, riding alongside a small group of like minded riders, finishing each day with hearty country meals at local pubs and relaxing in a warm hotel bed each night.

Based from Coominya (just one hour west of Brisbane), Nash Horse Trekking is offering the ultimate equine getaway: the 5 Day Pub Crawl. Designed for intermediate to experienced riders, this trek blends the joy of riding with the charm of rural Queensland hospitality.

The Journey
Ride around 20 km per day along the stunning Brisbane Valley Rail Trail, passing through picturesque country towns:
• Coominya to Esk
• Esk to Toogoolawah
• Toogoolawah to Harlin
• Linville to Blackbutt
• Blackbutt farmlands & BVRT hills

Your horse stays overnight at showgrounds while you rest in comfortable hotel accommodation. All breakfasts, lunches and dinners are included, with evenings spent enjoying the best of country pub dining.

The Experience
• 3 to 6 hours of riding each day across varied terrain
• Stock and western saddles for comfort
• Stock and Quarter Horses carefully matched to each rider
• Small group of 5 to 10 riders
• Perfect for solo riders or friends travelling together
