Did you know dogs can suffer heatstroke even at 24ยฐC? Dogs don't sweat like we do, so they can only rely on panting and shade to stay cool.
Keep your pets safe by:
๐ซ Never leave pets unattended in parked cars
๐ Plan car trips โ keep the car cool, ensure frequent stops and water is available
โ๏ธ Avoid exercise during the warmest times of the day
๐ Donโt leave pets inside hot, closed homes or garages
๐พ Avoid walking pets on hot sand, concrete, bitumen, or any other surfaces where heat is reflected
๐ง Keep your dog well hydrated with easy access to cool water
โ ๏ธ Watch for early signs of heatstroke
If your dog shows any of the signs of heatstroke, act fast: Move them to a cooler area, offer small amounts of water, and contact your vet immediately.
