PLEASE KEEP YOUR PUPS AT HOME WHEN UNVACCINATED!!! I drill this into my puppy parents WAIT at least 2 weeks past their 2nd vaccination. I care so much about our babies health and life. You have their whole life to take them out to play, show friends and explore the world. Also they don't need big walks. Playing with them is enough exercise until they are bigger. Keep them home and safe please to all new puppy owners 🙏💕

🐾 Kennel Cough Cases Are on the Rise on the Sunshine Coast 🐾

We’re currently seeing an increase in cases of kennel cough across the Sunshine Coast, and we’d like to help keep your dogs safe and healthy.

🐶 What is Kennel Cough?
Kennel cough is a highly contagious respiratory infection that spreads easily anywhere dogs socialize.

⚠️ Symptoms to Watch For:
• A persistent dry, hacking cough
• Retching or gagging after coughing
• Sneezing or nasal discharge
• Lethargy or reduced energy
• Loss of appetite
• Mild fever in some cases

While many dogs recover well, puppies, senior dogs, and dogs with existing health conditions can become more seriously unwell.

🛡️ How You Can Help Prevent Kennel Cough:
✔️ Keep your dog’s vaccinations up to date
✔️ Avoid close contact with coughing dogs
✔️ Don’t share water bowls or toys in public areas
✔️ Keep sick dogs at home and away from dog parks/daycare
✔️ Contact your vet if your dog develops a cough

📞 If your dog is showing symptoms, please give our clinic a call before visiting so we can help minimise exposure to other pets in the clinic.
