A LITTLE FEATHER & FILLY UPDATE â¨
After a lot of thought, Iâve made the decision to not have any silkies available to the public until further notice.
This isnât because Iâm stepping back, quite the opposite.
As a relatively new breeder, Iâve reached a point where I need to put my focus back into my own flock, our breeding goals and improving the quality of what weâre producing.
I want to be really intentional about the birds we retain, the pairings we make and the direction I take Feather & Filly.
That means keeping more of our own stock this season, giving my birds time to develop, learning from every hatch and being selective about what stays within our breeding program.
I am not interested in producing more birds for the sake of having birds available.
While I wonât be offering silkies to the public for the foreseeable future, we have some very exciting things happening behind the scenes that weâre incredibly hopeful will help us take another step forward with our flock and improve the quality of our birds.
Weâre still growing and very much still building Feather & Filly from the ground up.
So for now, the doors to the Feather & Filly are staying closed.
Thank you to everyone who has supported, followed along, encouraged us, purchased from us and cheered on our little fluffy chaos from the beginning.
Thereâs plenty more to come. đ¸
For now⌠weâre keeping the good stuff for ourselves. đ
