🐾✂️TODAY'S GROOMING HIGHLIGHT✂️🐾
Meet Chloe! Chloe is a sweetheart with a common problem this time of year - her coat has matted over the winter! We get so many questions about matting and how to spot it before it gets out of control so here are a few tips:
🐾🐶 Matting is more than a few knots. When your dog's hair goes unbrushed the coat fuses into a knitted texture, making it impossible to brush out. Hair will group in clumps and also make it hard for you to see or touch your dog's skin directly.
🐾🐶 Your dog can feel those knots when they move! It's like a heavy jacket attached to and rubbing against their skin - which is why it's always important to remove matts as soon as possible by shaving them out.
🐾🐶 Matting is a lot more common than you might think. We see 1 - 4 matted dogs per day, so you're not alone! Sometimes, forgetting to brush your dog for only a few days can be long enough for their coat to mat.
Thank you, Chloe, for being a good sport! Book your dog in now for a fresh spring cut!
