Stormin’ Norman (Normandy Bridge) who we have had a lot to do with over the last few months won a very strong maiden at Terang yesterday… astutely placed by … An exciting future for the beautiful Frenchmen 🇫🇷 The Mighty Spa, our little cuzzy bro 🥝 … as genuine as they come, gave the place getters up to 9kg! 🍊 Thanks to Terang Racing Club for putting on a great day

Pateman Racing are hiring ground staff at our Connewarre stable

Mornings Monday-Saturday. Start and finish times may vary depending on day light hours but a minimum 4 hours a morning.

General stable duties. No racing experience required but you must have general horse handling skills/experience. We are more than happy to take on people from an equestrian back ground who have never worked in racing.

Pay rate in accordance with the Horse Racing Award.

🏇 Racing theme at The Geelong Business Club monthly meeting last night where we were given an insight into the breeding, training and gambling aspects of the industry by Stephen McHenry, prominent Geelong accountant and retired rails bookmaker. Lesson 101 - the bookie will always win in the end!

I was pleased that my good friends and successful trainers Stephen and Jess Pateman of Pateman Racing were able to join me as my guests. Steve is also a leading jumps jockey while Jess is a prominent national show jumping competitor having just been part of the winning Magic Millions show jumping team.

Larry and Mapping have now both retired from jumps racing … Larry is off hunting and Mapping is a handy showjumper … with Larry off to his new home yesterday we thought it was a good time to reshare this…
