To all of our clients, friends, family, followers and well-wishers - we sincerely hope you have a relaxing and restorative Christmas/New Year's break, if only for a short while. It's a tough one, this year, with many rural communities struggling through drought and bushfires. A lot of us are feeling run-down, tired, desperate and isolated. It is more important than ever that we stick together and look out for each other. Don't be afraid to talk about it, don't be too proud to ask for help if you need it, and don't ever stop pushing through!

The journey continues!

For those who haven't been following, Birkwood Farm has been working with the Llewellyn Motors team to tell the story of how the drought is impacting local communities in SE QLD. Check out their page for the previous installments.

From now until Christmas, Llewellyn Motors is donating hay to local farms (Ipswich, Lockyer and Fassifern regions), funded by the sales and servicing of vehicles. You can help them to REALLY succeed by NOMINATING a farmer in need. Just contact them via FB and let them know who you think they can help!

Located in the Scenic Rim region in SE QLD, Birkwood Farm is a Percheron and Australian Draught horse stud.

Striving to preserve the traditional heritage 'type' within our chosen heavy breeds, we refuse to compromise on quality. All of our horses carry great genetics, as well as being of solid, sound type with fantastic, willing temperaments. We pride ourselves on producing horses that are proven, not just in the show ring, but over a wide range of disciplines under saddle and in harness. We are firm believers that big horses can dance too!
