In 1997 Elfinvale Butch, a fully trained red male dog, sold at Casterton’s first working dog auction for a record $2000.
Thirty years on Elfinvale continues to breed the same type and are proud to offer Elfinvale FRED II (Lot 15), another magnificent red male, in Casterton’s 30th Working Dog Auction.

A BIG day Pre-lamb crutching, drenching and vaccinating 1200 Cross bred Ewes all in a days work!
Made seamlessly easy with the help of Elfinvale FRED II.
This experienced young dog will be auctioned at Casterton - Australia's Premier Working Dog Auction on the June long weekend.

If only he could SHUT the Gate!😳
Stud Sire, Elfinvale LARRY, bringing in a mob of 1200 ewes for pre lamb drenching. No commands and no assistance required for this calm and independent worker as he droves EVERY single ewe into the yards.
- If only his offsider had shut the laneway gate into the freshly sown paddock😩

A magnificent young liver red male. A very calm and biddable dog with a happy temperament and eagerness to please. Versatile in both yard and paddock on small and large mobs. Works well in a team or as “one man- one dog” operation. Good free bark and happy to back.
