Suki the cavoodle had her first visit yesterday. Once your pup is fully vaccinated it’s time to introduce them to a groomer regardless of their breed. From nails, bathing, drying and haircuts- start them young with a professional so they are handled with care, build a bond with their groomer and are easier for you to maintain at home ❤️

Dear Ollie was the third dog to walk through my salon door eleven years ago. He physically can’t see me anymore, he doesn’t bounce around like he use to. But his sweet and gentle nature is still as strong as the day I met him. I love my Golden oldies ❤️

Today I’m celebrating 11 years in business and 10 years in the grooming competition ring!

Thank you to every single past and present client for choosing me to be your dog’s groomer.

In recent years, it has been tricky with moving locations four times and I’m thankful for people continuing to move with me.

This year I’ve had wonderful opportunities to travel overseas and around Australia to build ny network and become the Australian distributor of a great brand called TZGROOM and stocklist of LifeWise.

I was super appreciative of my clients and show exhibitior contacts that lent their dogs to be used as models for the event I annually host called The Pup Cup Dog Grooming Competition.
Thank you 🙏 With your help, this has become a growing success with more international guests arriving for the 2026 event.

Blessed is an understatement with being able to continue in a small but busy business. I am super grateful for loyal clients, my supportive family and wonderful mentors. You have all shaped me into the passionate entrepreneur I am now.

Although she’s not fully complete, she’s operational and making my heart sing!

I have been keeping busy with The Pup Cup Dog Grooming Competition. This is an event that I founded in 2017 and is beautifully booming. It will be on 2-3 Aug 2025 at Coffs Harbour Showground with cool stalls and an amazing attendance of groomers to show off their skills.

The Pup Cup is free entry if you’d like to go check it out. It is the first event to host a qualifying round for elite groomers to compete in a pointscore system, hoping to land themselves on The Quokka’s Australian Grooming Team.

This magical team will head over to compete in Europe at the world championships of grooming!
Pretty neat!

So although we can’t stop the rain. We can ensure that your dogs smell and look good 😉

On this day ten years ago, Jazz’s Dog Grooming opened.
I was 22 and nervous that I wouldn’t succeed.
However, with the support of all of my family, wonderful clients and mentors I am still going strong.

Hello all you social butterflies!
Sorry it has been a while since posting - I have indeed been busy.

It has been a year of growth, changes and a whirlwind of emotions.

I have been quite overwhelmed lately with bookings, attempting to manage my phone, juggle mum life and everything else that has come with it.
If you would like me to be your groomer please text now to arrange your bookings for the rest of the year.

Many of you will only require two appointments before Christmas arrives - so please get prepared.
Regular clients will have preference, however the longer you leave it, the sooner you will dip out!

I have temporarily moved to Blue & White Veterinary Clinic Coffs Harbour and will eventually have a new salon.
I can not thank the staff enough at Blue & White Vets as they have been welcoming to me, my clients and wonderful to work alongside.

2024 has brought me fantastic opportunities across Australia where I have travelled to Southern New South Wales, Queensland, Victoria and South Australia to compete and assist in Dog Grooming Competitions.

I have won more awards with a highlight of my first BEST IN SHOW. I was honoured to win with a handsome Standard Wire-Haired Dachshund from the hand stripping category under a national and international judging panel.

With more dog shows and competitions to follow this year I hope to add to my award wall and build my knowledge further.

Sadly one of my dogs Patchy (my fluffy door greeter) was laid to rest recently. He gave me a brilliant eleven years and was half the reason I became a groomer. This unfortunately has been the reason why I have fallen behind in bookings and resulted in much needed time off. I am getting there and really thank you all for your understanding and love you’ve sent my way.
Here’s to hoping the rest of the year brings more highs than lows for all of us!

Pet friendly dyed with Pet Esthe and Opawz super black. This process isn’t a short one but Beryl enjoys her groom time with me and had a break with lots of cuddles.

Creative grooming is something that I love doing as it allows me to be artistic and enrich the lives of the pet, owner and on lookers.

Beryl has an important job in our community with hospital visits by giving support and smoochie cuddles to those who aren’t feeling their best. So this look is fitting for her community work 🌟

She knows she is the grooviest chick out!

Our Story

Jazz's Dog Grooming is a home based salon in Coffs Harbour, NSW and is operated and owned by Coffs local, Jazz Fitzgerald. The salon opened in early November 2014. Jazz was inspired and educated by internationally recognised master groomer Christine Speerin at The Grooming School. Jazz herself is now a multi-award winning dog groomer. Holding a third place in the Novice category of Salon Freestyle, three first place titles in the Novice category of Salon Freestyle, Poodle and Gundog. Two second place titles in the Open category of Salon Freestyle and one second place title in Gundog Open.

She is currently applying herself to a dog grooming masters degree along with attending seminars held across Australia to further her skills and explore her passion.

Jazz is the event coordinator of Coffs Harbour’s first event dedicated to dog grooming. The Pup Cup Dog Grooming Competition & Expo is the first of its kind uniting pet stylists, retailers and all dog lovers. Jazz understands that your dog is an individual with a personality as unique as your own, and she aims to create an environment where your fluffy best friend will enjoy their grooming experience. Jazz is very passionate about giving your dog the best haircut possible by working with their anatomy and body shape to compliment them. Your pet will benefit from top of the range gentle products which promote optimum skin and coat health and longer lasting results that you will notice.
