2 SPOTS FOR THIS THURSDAY IN CONTROLLED SOCIALISATION & TRAINING with Clever Pup Dog Training, Coffs Harbour region

A 2022 pilot study from Guide Dogs UK and the University of Worcester tested 7 types of enrichment, and measured what changed in the dog’s behaviour straight after.

The biggest positive changes by far came from conspecific play, meaning play with the same species .... particularly supervised play as this includes bonding time with a calm human. Playhouse-style exploration using tunnels, slides, and platforms and tug play, again with a calm human came in second.

This is why we get such great results from our Controlled Socialisation & training sessions.
Our trainer, Sandy has that calm presence and is with the dogs 100% of the time supervising and training. 2 hour sessions or full day available at a very reasonable rate. Spots are limited as we keep the groups small.

Already Ziggy is doing better with some of the strategies from Saturday.
When we walked yesterday there were many unleashed dogs so we simply turned around and went in a different direction. I've also started using place when walking to calm him and support him with staying close between my legs especially with motorbikes passing and its helping. Have a lovely day Lynette 🥰

Vincenso had 3 2 hour sessions... he has come along in leaps & bounds.
BIG progress... Our nieghbour (with ms electric chair) wheeled very close to Vinnie stopped & dropped her hand down ... Vinnie walked in to sniff (note to self carry treats to give people for him) he took little step back. While we were talking he walked forward & stood calmly 😃. So different from when he was twirling round choking himself trying to get away before training. Then when we got in lift another nieghbour got in with dog ... normally Vinnie quakes in corner. He just stood calmly while cavoodle did spins on her lead Luckily only 1 floor ride. I just praised him quietly & calmly. 💯 recommend Sandy at Clever Pup.

The change in Vinnie is remarkable after 3 sessions. Thank you Sandy.

My dog & I have had 3 sessions with Sandy. I have learned so much about training him & to help him to have more confidence around other dogs & strangers. The results have been seriously amazing. My dog is really happy now with fear dissipating. I can't recommend CleverPup & Sandy enough.

Update on Vinnie; we have attended the puppy classes & group socialization. My little man used to quake in fear when people & dogs approached. Now I'm not saying he wants to romp with other dogs but he accepts their presence e.g during class I put him on a lead free down stay & walked 10mts away. The other dogs walked round him on lead with their owners, getting closer to him each time. I walked back round him. I then released him & he got big yummy reward. Throughout he was relaxed no panic, no running off. He is gaining confidence as Sandy gradually introduces new "tasks". He has made totally remarkable progress under Sandys' expert guidance. Sandys' knowledge & "tool kit of ideas" garners positive results ... for dog & owner.

Vincenzo & I finished our 4 week group socialization course yesterday. It is so gratifying to see Vinnie coming out of his shell of fear & anxiety round people & dogs. He is calm & relaxed at class & around the parks, beach & in our independent living home. He has had dogs visit at our home & gone to neighbours. Before Sandy's classes that wasn't possible. Sandy's classes teach you how to improve your dogs life. THANKYOU.

Socialisation has to be done correctly, or you could deal with long term issues from potential trauma, so this is a unique opportunity with limited spots available for dogs or puppies in a safe and comfortable fenced & grassed space. It has also proven to be very helpful with dogs who experience fear reactivity and Separation Anxiety.

You drop your dog off & I'll train it to socialise with manners & confidence with a limited number of other dogs. We work on calm interactions, plus obedience training as I observe & interact directly with your dog. Fully supervised for the whole 2 or 6 hours.

One on one Training with an experienced accredited trainer: a couple of spots have just opened up. If you are wanting your dog to be well trained in specific areas or you have a young puppy, but you either don't have the time or the expertise to do it yourself, I have the answer for you.
You just drop your dog off to me for either 2 hours or anything up to 6 hours and I'll train one on one. It will be just me and your dog working on anything you'd like.
Another option... if you have a dog whose fearful of other dogs, I have Controlled Socialisation sessions as well.
If you're having any problems or training needs , let me work on it for you. Easy. I can be flexible to suit your schedule. You just need the time to drop your dog off and pick them up at the end. All done in a safe, fenced and grassed area.
You may think this would be an expensive service, however I love training dogs so much and want to see them living their best life in a happy family, that I've made it very affordable. All positive and fear free methods.
Note: I cannot take any dogs with aggression issues.

Clever Pup Dog Training are offering you and your dog Controlled Socialisation & Training which of course includes play. This is not just a Doggy Daycare with it's many potential problems. What we offer is a safe controlled space with an accredited trainer supervising your pet. Please read the benefits of our sessions and some of the many reviews from happy clients.

The biological power of play: Play is fundamental, and can literally reconfigure and reprogram an animal’s brain.

The science of Epigenetics: Play affects behaviors and how your dog perceives the environment, thus causing changes in the way your pet's genes work, so it is effective in reprogramming undesirable breed traits.
