Well it's started & not the way I'd hope kidding would start. Welcome to the world girls, premmie twins & the first of our Badger bushfire babies. If we can get them through the next 24- 48hrs I may cross my fingers that they might make it. Wrapped in towels, thermal blanket & spending the night in our bed. I'm so lucky to have a wonderful husband to be :)

It's been a busy few days this week first having the clean up crew from Access Recycling (sorry guys didn't get any names) than a load of wrapped hay today brought to us by Bobbins Transport, (they have never let us down when we need anything picked up or delivered) all made possible by John & Luke Evans who replaced our little culvert pipe crossing & made it bigger, better & wider for the trucks.

To say it's been a hard start to 2020 is an understatement, as many are aware we were very badly impacted by the bushfires on the 31st Dec 2019 while we suffered no stock losses at the time of the fires in the weeks after has been another story.
Our dairy suffered the most it's completely destroyed & will be a knock down & rebuild..... All in 3 months along with new shedding our milk processing room gone, our soap & lotion making room gone, delivery van & work Ute burnt to the ground

The change over the past couple of months has seen an amazing change in the paddocks & we're redesigning the paddocks to be more "user friendly" & finally the kids get their own big paddock which they love.
It's wonderful to finally see some green

Sad to say but it's getting pretty darn dry now no rain for months & almost constant daily winds for the past 5 months paddocks are looking sad, but the goats are still holding condition & milking well

A bank of new kidding sheds coming along slowly, we hope to have about 30 of these sheds built in time

It's been very quiet here over the last couple of months all of our girls are taking a holiday, lounging around & enjoying their new custom feed mix. But work hasn't stopped for us, this quiet time means a chance to re-design paddocks, plough, fence & lay down their winter feed start construction on their new shed & undercover feed pad
