little hatch of Black red moderns , including a almost soild slate legged chick.
Hoping for some good show stock this year (future breeders) they already have some stiff competition with their older siblings having such a natural strong stance at 2 weeks old. (Last photo)

We are in full swing here, first batch of chicks are over 2 weeks old, moderns are hatching early chicks this year and just set 2 batch of eggs.
Excited to see all these guys full grown.

Made some nesting drums from old 20L oil drums from work.
One hen seems happy, placed her box in yesterday and already laid in it.

Will definitely be making more, really easy and quick to make.
