Meet Merry Bear!

A sweet, curious little explorer looking for her forever home.

Merry Bear is 2-3 years old. She loves to investigate every corner. She likes to do things in her own way. She takes a little time to settle in, but once she trusts you, she adores gentle pats and will happily stay by your side. She is as cute as she looks!

💗 Desexed & vaccinated

💗 Litter trained and very clean (never poops or pees outside the playpen)

💗 Curious, independent, and full of character

SYDNEY SOUTH COOGEE URGENT! Rescuer/Foster Carer Needed!
2 bunnies dumped on top step of apartment. Elderly Russian lady found them this morning. She rang The Rabbit Sanctuary for help.
She has no rabbit food. They are very hungry.
Can anyone go and get them and foster them? We would provide an indoor ⭐️Foster Carer Kit plus rabbit hay and pellets.

VOLUNTEERING AT The Rabbit Sanctuary in GRAFTON
If you love animals, especially pet rabbits then The Rabbit Sanctuary is the place for you to volunteer. Like Tim shown in our photo you can be in the company of cuddly bunnies while tidying their enclosure, filling their hay racks, cutting them grass and hand feeding them. If you come from further away we have farm stay accommodation for you too in our “Bunny Stables” which are new and also air conditioned. Like to volunteer at The Rabbit Sanctuary? So many rabbits are surrendered because they’re purchased as babies from pet shops then the people get sick of them when they grow up into adult rabbits.
WHAT YOU CAN DO…
If your local pet shop sells rabbits, please ask them to stop because they are creating a welfare issue.
Rabbits are not products. They should not be sold in shops.

BIG RESCUE RABBIT BUNNY TREATS GIFT
🌿💖 Thank You Lorina Gore! 💖🌿

We are so grateful for the incredible support of volunteer lorinagore, who is an absolute gem in our Sanctuary family!

Lorina plays a vital role in supporting our Adopters and Foster Carers, but her kindness doesn’t stop there. She saw a gap in the market for healthy rabbit treats—so many options out there are not only unsuitable, but can even be harmful to bunnies.

So what did Lorina do? She got baking! 🐰🍪✨

Using her creativity and compassion, Lorina began making wholesome, natural rabbit treats—carefully prepared with bunny-safe ingredients and tried and tested by our own foster buns (who gave them two paws up! 🐾🐾).

To take it one hop further, Lorina opened an Etsy store the_rabbitorium to share her beautiful creations with the wider bunny community—and she donates so much of the profits to The Rabbit Sanctuary! 💚

She even allows supporters to buy treats directly for our rescue bunnies, who often miss out on such luxuries. Unlike pet bunnies in homes, our rescue rabbits are one of many in care—and little acts of kindness like this go a long way in making them feel special.

Thank you, Lorina, for your heart, your dedication, and for making the world a tastier, healthier place for rescue rabbits. 🐇🌿💕

Pickle has a little splayed leg- so a carpeted space helps for security and stability for her to keep up with the boys. Pickle also needs a little comb every now and then after toiletting.

PETstock St Peters (Sydney) kindly donated 15 bags of 30 L Pet litter today to The Rabbit Sanctuary and our two volunteers Winnie and Shirley celebrated with lunch together after loading up the cars.

The Rabbit Sanctuary is able to help so many bunnies in need thanks to community support from businesses like PETstock and our wonderful team of volunteers.
