PUPPY EXCURSIONS 📣🐾
A puppy’s critical period of development is generally considered to be between 4 and 16 weeks of age. This time is like an open window in the dog’s brain for new experiences and learning about this world.
However, it is never too late to start which is why this new service caters to those up to 6 months of age to help you get assistance as early on as possible. By getting a head start and learning the do’s/dont’s of raising a puppy, it will save you from running into unwanted behaviours as they are become older.
The focus of each session will be to build a confident, well rounded dog that finds value in its handler over the distractions around them.
〰️ Exposing them to a range of different environments with all types of surfaces, sights, sounds and smells.
〰️ Real life scenarios, leash handling and basic obedience.
〰️ Socialising them around stable dogs and all sorts of animals from a safe distance.
〰️ Teaching them to find comfort in their surroundings and trust in their handler.
Each session goes for about 1 hour and includes pick up/drop off. Although a pup’s attention span is very small… this time bracket allows us to travel out to different locations and gives us a larger range of things to work around. Along with decompression time afterwards.
By signing up to this service you will also receive a free document with tips to help you on this journey with raising a puppy, videos from our sessions via instagram and ongoing support so that you are getting the same results at home.
📍 Currently taking on new clients in the surrounding areas of Charmhaven, Hamlyn Terrace, Toukley, Norah Head, Budgewoi, Buff point, Wyee etc.
