🌏 Box Divvy ReSmart Initiative 🌏

This week is National Recycling Week (10–16 November 2025), and this is the perfect time to get on board with our latest sustainability push:
Box Divvy is partnering with ReSmart (formerly RecycleSmart) and rolling out 350 shiny new 240L wheelie bins to Hubs across NSW/ACT. Because soft plastics don’t belong in landfill, and we can do better.

Our 2024 Southern Highlands trial proved it: six Hubs collected 750kg of soft plastics in just a few months. Now, thanks to a $17,235 NSW EPA grant (matched by Box Divvy), all our Hubs can join in.

So come on, Box Divvy community, let’s ditch the landfill, keep our planet happy, and show Australia how it’s done!

✅ What are soft plastics?

They’re the sneaky, crunchable plastics that council recycling bins can’t handle as they jam the machines.
Think plastic shopping bags, bread bags, snack wrappers, veggie bags, bubble wrap, and those annoying little plastic bits from parcels. Basically, anything you can fold, scrunch, or twist.

✅ Here’s the deal:

Members pay nothing.
Just sort and bring your soft plastics to the Hub and place into the labelled ReSmart bin (formerly RecycleSmart) on Hub collection day.
Box Divvy drivers will whisk them off to ReSmart, where they get turned into food-grade bags rather than become ocean confetti. Easy, guilt-free, and useful.

*We should have our bin by the end of November

I'm not sure what's most exciting. Mangoes for just over $1 each
OR free soft plastics recycling right here at our hub!

And just to complicate matters, I'm also loving that this Christmas we will not only have home-delivered hams, seafood and Christmas pudding, but members can also order everything they need to build the ultimate gift hamper (including boxes, ribbon, tissue, hessian and shredded paper).

How lucky are we?

Fresh today, frozen tomorrow!

Grab a tray.

We have a full freezer drawer with frozen fruit and veggies (think spinach and kale) at all times in our home.

Bananas are a no-brainer and with Box Divvy deals this great, it's time to restock for the warmer days...and the never ending smoothies and fruit "slushies".

🎄 Top Tip Tuesday!

Let’s beat the December chaos together—one treat at a time! 🍯🍫

Start popping a few gourmet goodies into your weekly shop now (think honey, jams, teas, choccies…). By December, you’ll have a stash of thoughtful, budget-friendly gifts ready to go!

✨ Bonus points for eco-friendly wrapping: reuse jars, boxes, or fabric scraps and add a sprig of rosemary or dried orange for instant charm.

Let’s make gifting joyful, simple, and sustainable. Who’s in? 🙌

Straight from the farm to us! No one has touched these carrots since they were packed at the farm 🙌

Did you know that most of our fruit and vegetables are picked to order? That means that after orders close they are picked up from the farmer the following day and put on a pallet for delivery to our hub the following morning. That is why our fruit and vegetables are so fresh and that is why we can pay our farmers more because they are not sitting in storage and theres a lot less handling of the produce.

✔️Fresh produce picked to order
✔️no storage
✔️Paying our farmers more while saving around 30% on the major supermarkets

Count me in!
