After much consideration, we have made the decision that Elysian Estate will be closing its doors within the horse industry at the end of March.

This has not been an easy decision, but we feel the time is right to move in a new direction.

We would like to sincerely thank all of the incredible owners, trainers, and supporters who trusted us with their horses and supported Elysian Estate along the way. It has truly been a privilege to care for so many wonderful horses and to meet so many great people through this journey.

We are incredibly proud of what we built here and grateful for the friendships, experiences, and memories that came with it. Seeing horses thrive and return home happy, healthy, and confident has always been at the heart of what we do.

To everyone who has been part of the Elysian Estate story — thank you. Your support has meant more than we can say.

✨ Meet Our Unlikely Duo! ✨
Arriving from the station last night, Norman the swamp buffalo and Sean the shorthorn are best mates who’ve been inseparable since they were little bubs. Both hand-raised, they’re now our two big, gentle giants with the softest souls.

If you’re visiting, dropping off, or picking up your horse, feel free to spoil them with an apple or two 🍎—it’s their absolute favourite treat!

The girls enjoyed a well-deserved day out celebrating the Melbourne Cup at Morphettville. Even with the rain, it was a beautiful afternoon and everyone looked stunning! We’re so grateful for the chance to have this outing together, thank you to Lisa for organising this for the team. And a big thank you to Allison for covering the afternoon shift so we could attend 🌸✨

Our horse treadmill is ideal for both pre-training and rehab.

It’s been a busy few weeks here at the property as Lisa, Gareth, and their family settle in, all while operations continue as usual.

We’ve successfully completed and sent home several pre-trainers, with new arrivals already settling in. Our weanling filly has been progressing well with her weekly bandage changes and regular handling to further her education. We also farewelled Larry as he embarks on his new post-racing career. 🥰

New spellers and retirees have joined us, and the team continues to ensure each horse receives the highest level of care and attention. ✔️

The Farm ❤️
We love seeing the horses fully unwind in our spacious paddocks, relaxing with a friend and just being a horse. 🐴

When they’re not on a break, we mix it up with a variety of pre-training work that keeps them happy, settled, and loving the change.

The atmosphere here is so calm and the horses love it just as much as we do. 💛
