We appreciate our clients who have had and maintained an account for many years.. and this post is not directed at our loyal clients who pay their accounts on time!

HOWEVER,
This is directed at people who have used our services and never paid for them or have LONG OUTSTANDING DEBTS here & have not made any payments toward their debt.

You have 1 WEEK to contact our clinic to arrange a payment plan or make payment in full.
I have made many attempts to contact you, through email, phone, text etc, with no success.

IF you do not contact us or pay your debt in full then we will be listing names on social media.

We have given those select people ample amount of time to make an attempt to pay their account. And to add... if we had been asked if you could pay it off we would have said that is fine. Regular payments towards a bill is better then nothing. We understand everyone goes through financial hardship.

It is not fair to us, or any veterinary clinic to be providing a service and not being paid for it.

You know who you are. And I have sent you another email & text message today with this same message.

Hookworm eggs can be deadly! Take a look at what they actually look like under the microscope! 🐾 🔬

They maybe small but they cause MASSVE problems. We are seeing an influx of hookworm burden cases at the moment.

Now, take a closer look at this MICROSCOPIC image — those tiny ovals are hookworm eggs.

If this is what we see from the tiniest amount of stool- imagine the burden the dog has!

Hookworms are easily prevented by regularly worming your pets with a dedicated and high quality intestinal wormer.

Symptoms of worms are:

- Anemia (check gum colour)
- Diarrhea
- Weight loss
- Weakness and/or poor growth

Especially in young pets; hookworm can become life threatening very quickly. Puppies & kittens need a regular worming schedule to avoid intestinal parasite burdens.
Ie: worming every 2 weeks from birth until 12 weeks, Then monthly until 6 months then every 3 months after that.

Remember hookworms are zoonotic - this means they can infect humans- kids are especially vulnerable.
Another reason to stay up to date with a regular worming schedule.

We are looking to welcome another vet nurse into our family owned business. We are a small animal clinic with a big focus on canine reproduction, so confidence with all type of dogs is a must.

The ideal candidate would possess the following attributes:

- Completed Cert III or Cert IV Vet Nurse Course
- Multiple references will be required
- A great work ethic, terrific communication and organisational skills.
- Confidence to work with all dogs & cats (there is a lot of greyhound work involved)
- Lots of initiative and able to work unsupervised.
- Committed to the ongoing cleaning involved in a vet clinic.
- Getting things done in a timely manner and able to take instruction.
- Friendly, sympathetic & empathetic, and great phone communication skills.
- Able to be called in when we become busy.
