CLASSIC CONNECTION Fra has done it again.

A fourth individual winner from as many starters from his first Australian crop as HAMMER salutes in easy fashion on debut at Ballarat on Thursday night.

The 2yo c**t led against older horses for the trainer/driver combination of Russell and Nathan Jack, scoring by 10m with his last 400m in 28.5sec.

Hammer is the first foal out of Orlando Vici Fra mare Saint Etienne.

Leading reinsman Nathan Jack has describe Classic Connection Fra filly Afternoon Breeze as an untapped talent after taking out the Bob Conroy 2yo Trotting Classic at Melton on Saturday (August 16).

“She is very untapped and the steering is not quite there just yet, but to pick them up late in 28.8 and still not quite get it right just goes to show how good she is going to be down the track,” Jack said.

Jack recalled he was intent on securing Afternoon Breeze at last year’s Nutrien Yearling Sales.

“Her mother is a sister to Callmethebreeze, and when I came out and won the Great Southern Star on him the night before the sales, if my arm needed twisting then that twisted it,” he said.

She’s got a pretty busy end to the season with the Nutrien, Breeders Crown and Vicbred.”

Afternoon Breeze is unbeaten in two starts and of three winners from three starters from Classic Connection’s first Australian crop.

TRACY The Jet also provided a feature win at Melton for our stallion roster, with the 3yo daughter of the now retired Love You Fra - the sire of Classic Connection - taking out The Holmfield.

The first crop of CLASSIC CONNECTION Fra continues to take all before it.

AFTERNOON BREEZE remained unbeaten in two starts with a dashing victory in the $20,000 BOB CONROY 2YO TROTTING CLASSIC at Melton on Saturday night.

She showed gate speed to lead before handing up and then sprinted hard to come from third in the last 100m.

Classic Connection has had three starters, with each winning.

This is his second feature winner, with Cee Cee In Paris having won the NSW 2yo Trotters Foundation Final at Menangle in June.
