🎲🐴 What is a Gamblers Day? 🐴🎲
Hosted by Central Highlands Equestrian Group & Peak Downs Pony Club

Get ready for something a little different – and a whole lot of FUN!

Our Gamblers Day is all about strategy, confidence, and making the most of your ride!

✨ Pick Your Jumps – Each obstacle is worth different points based on height or difficulty. You choose your path and collect as many points as you can!
✨ Dressage Your Way – Choose the test that suits your level and show off your skills in a relaxed, supportive environment.
✨ Gamble on Your Ability – Be bold or play it safe – it’s up to you! Clear rounds earn the points, so ride smart.

🧡 No Eliminations – (unless in the event of a fall) If you or your horse have an unfortunate moment (like a refusal), you’re not out. We want everyone to have the chance to enjoy a full day – ride a dressage test, complete the showjumping round, and finish the cross-country course.

🏕️ Make a Weekend of It! – Camp onsite, hang out with friends, and enjoy a weekend filled with riding and great company.

🌟 What a Weekend at Cheg! 🌟
Working Equitation with Linda Shore

We had an absolutely fantastic weekend at Central Highlands Equestrian Group learning and competing in Working Equitation with the incredible Linda Shore!

🗓️ Saturday was filled with both group and private lessons – a great opportunity for riders to build confidence and develop their skills.
🎉 Sunday brought a fun and friendly Mini Come & Try Competition! The atmosphere was so warm and welcoming, and it was brilliant to see some of our junior riders getting involved and giving it a red hot go! 🐴💪

⚠️ A quick note: Unfortunately, Nominate went down just before we could announce the Prep results, so we didn’t get to present those ribbons on the day – but we’re sharing all the results below!

Working Equitation is a fun and inclusive discipline that combines the precision of dressage, the challenge of obstacles, and the excitement of a speed phase. Think of it as an obstacle course on horseback with elements that mimic real-life riding situations – like gates, bridges, bending poles, and side passes.

It’s suitable for all riding abilities – from beginners to advanced riders – and you don’t need fancy gear or a special horse to give it a go. Whether you’re just starting out or looking to test your skills in a new way, this is a fantastic chance to try something different in a supportive, low-pressure environment.

Come along, have a go, and most importantly – have fun with your horse!
