Thanks for being part of our community this year. We’re proud to volunteer at events that bring riders together and keep equestrian opportunities growing in the South West.

Summer Break ☀️🐴

It’s time for our herd to enjoy a well-earned rest. Our trusty steeds are heading home to their paddocks for plenty of hay, shade, and some serious chillaxing.

Our amazing volunteers also get a break — and we all get to escape the summer heat for a little while.

We’ll be back for our Autumn Season in March, once the sun has lost its bite and the flies have packed their bags.

Until then, enjoy the summer, stay cool, and give your favourite horses an extra scratch from us. 🤎🌾

Horsey Hero 🐴✨

Meet Spirit — and yes, he really does live up to his name!

Spirit is a young pony with loads of personality. He loves being ridden, running around with his best buddy Rambo, and getting right into the action. He’s still learning the ropes of being a “Hippo” in our Hippotherapy program and figuring out all the silly games our riders and coaches come up with — but he takes it all in with curiosity and a cheeky spark.

We love the energy he brings to our herd. His spirited nature, his enthusiasm, and his growing confidence make him such a fun part of the team.

Spirit, you’re already a little superstar — and we can’t wait to see what you grow into. 🤎🐴

As our Spring Season wraps up, we want to take a moment to celebrate the people who make HorsePower Capel what it is.

To our horses — you are our number ones. Your patience, strength, and gentle hearts carry this whole program.

To our volunteers — thank you for your time, kindness, and the way you show up week after week. You’re the heartbeat of our sessions.

To our coaches — thank you for bringing fun, creativity, and engaging ideas, all while keeping our riders safe and supported.

To our riders — we’ve loved watching you grow this season. Your kindness toward each other and our horses is something really special.

To our committee members — without you, this club simply wouldn’t exist. Thank you for the unseen work, the decisions, and the direction that keeps us moving forward.

Meet Buck — the quiet leader of our herd and one of the most trusted horses on our team.

Buck is a 14.2hh buckskin Quarter Horse who has pretty much done it all. He’s the horse every volunteer secretly hopes to work with — level-headed, easy-going, and genuinely kind in every situation.

He’s our "Hippo" in hippotherapy, our king of groundwork, our go-to for games and play… honestly, there isn’t much Buck can’t do. No job is ever too big or too small for him, and he shows up with the same steady attitude every single session.

We’re so lucky to have you, Buck.

Our most valued members of the team? Our trusty steeds, of course.

Meet Reo — one of the coolest little characters in our herd.
He’s a 13.2hh paint gelding with a calm, chilled vibe… and the most expressive facial expressions you’ve ever seen. Honestly, this boy keeps us laughing.

Reo loves a good trail ride, enjoys playing games with our riders, and always shows up with a steady energy that helps everyone feel at ease.

A true HorsePower Capel legend in his own right. 🐴✨
