🧡 Senior pet package is now available 🧡

Senior pets age more rapidly than we often realise.

That’s why regular health checks are so important. Many age-related diseases develop gradually and can be difficult to spot in the early stages. Detecting changes early gives us the best opportunity to manage and support your pet’s health, comfort and quality of life for years to come.

📅 Senior Health Package
Available 1st June – 31st July

For a limited time, we’re offering our comprehensive Senior Health Package for just $400, a package normally valued at over $550!

Your pet’s package includes:
🧡 30-minute comprehensive senior health examination
🧡 Full blood panel testing, including liver and kidney function
🧡 Urinalysis

When is my pet considered a senior?
🐶 Dogs are generally considered seniors from around 7 years of age (large and giant breeds may become seniors earlier).
🐱 Cats are generally considered seniors from around 7 years of age.

Signs of age-related disease may include:
🩵 Drinking more water than usual
🩵 Increased urination
🩵 Weight loss or weight gain
🩵 Changes in appetite
🩵 Vomiting or diarrhoea
🩵 Bad breath
🩵 Reduced energy levels or sleeping more
🩵 Difficulty getting up, climbing stairs or jumping
🩵 Changes in behaviour or confusion
🩵 Changes in coat quality
🩵 Increased vocalisation, especially at night

As our pets age, conditions such as kidney disease, liver disease, arthritis, diabetes and thyroid disorders become more common. Many of these conditions can be present well before obvious signs appear, making routine screening an invaluable part of senior pet care.

Give your senior companion the gift of proactive healthcare and peace of mind.

📞 Contact the clinic to secure your appointment between 1st June and 31st July on 3390 1188 and take advantage of this special offer.

🐾 Bravest Boy Max! 🐾 Max came to us a few weeks ago for lethargy, inappetence and GI upset. Max stayed with us for IV fluids and x-rays, where we discovered a foreign body. We then proceeded to surgery to remove the rock, which was obstructing his small intestine. Throughout his whole time with us Max was patient, brave and his tail did not stop wagging despite feeling a bit sorry for himself. We are happy to report Max has recovered well and has promised his family no more rocks! 🪨

Hi! it’s me Simba, 🐾

I met Dr Laura a few years ago when she was a 5th year vet student at the RSPCA. I was just a little guy waiting for my forever home.

Now that I’ve found my forever family, I get to come in for cuddles (+grooming) 🛁 and apparently “dental cleanings” too. 🦷🪥

Thank you Dr Laura for always making me feel extra special whenever I pop in. - Simba 🐾

⭐️Well Done Gypsy!⭐️

Gypsy has been a frequent flyer recently due to her ongoing mouth pain. We initially suspected her pain and swollen jaw was due to periodontal disease and mouth ulcers. After her dental procedure with us she showed some improvement - but unfortunately, the pain returned.

To investigate further, she was referred to Veterinary Specialist Services for advanced imaging. Her CT scan revealed mandibular lymphadenopathy, helping guide the next steps in her care and pain management.

She has been very brave and patient despite being an anxious little Iggy. We adore Gypsy and we are so happy to see that she’s feeling better.
