Meet Toast 💚
Once a stray kitten, Toast was found near a busy road and brought to our North Parramatta clinic. Despite ongoing diarrhoea, she remained a playful and loving cat. While we trialled treatments and different foods, we knew a home would be best for her.
Now adopted by a wonderful couple, Toast is thriving in her forever home! To support her ongoing care, we’ve provided a Healthy Pets Plus membership to help her new owners with her gut health journey and ongoing medical costs.
Welcome home, Toast! 🐾

Dental disease is not just something experienced by senior pets with younger pets showing signs.

If your pet shows signs of bad breath, discoloured teeth or excessive drooling they may be in the early stages of dental disease.

So next time you're booking your dental appointment, remember to also book your furry friend in to get theirs checked as well.

Until 30 September, get $50 off a stage 1 dental scale & polish at your local Greencross Vets clinic. T&Cs apply.

⚠️Canine leptospirosis alert for Illawarra and Shoalhaven. This serious bacterial disease can cause vomiting, diarrhoea and lethargy in dogs and can be fatal if left undiagnosed and untreated. If you live in these affected areas, then please speak to your local vet who will be able to advise you regarding vaccination for your dog. Please keep an eye on your dog and if they show these symptoms, then please call your local vet or nearest pet emergency hospital immediately.

Four dogs have died from canine leptospirosis, with two confirmed in the Southern Highlands and Shoalhaven.

The serious bacterial disease is spread by rats and contaminated water and can cause liver and kidney failure.

Some of the symptoms include vomiting or diarrhea and lethargy.

Dog owners in the Southern Highlands and South coast are being urged to have their pets vaccinated and to avoid letting them drink or swim in stagnant water.

Dear clients

We wish to thank you all for your patience during this time. As you may be aware, our Greencross Capalaba clinic had to close due to the damage of ex- tropical cyclone Fred but we are so happy to inform you that we will be reopening FRIDAY 14th March. As we need to go over maintenance and safety checks, we will only be open for consultations and hospital treatments for patients that require further care. We will be resuming our surgery services next week.

Our team are very excited to be back under the same roof and providing the best care for your pets. We hope you are all safe and well and we look forward to seeing everyone again soon.

If you require an appointment, you can book online from the convenience of your home, or call us in the morning when we open at 7am.

See you soon
~ Love the Team at Greencross Vets Capalaba

‼️ TRIGGER WARNING ‼️

Sadly, a kitty (unknown age/sex etc) has been brought into our clinic as it was found on the side of the road - we suspect vehicular trauma from the injuries sustained 💔

Due to the severity of the injuries, we cannot find a microchip and therefore unable to track down the kitty’s owner. This was his/her collar.

If anyone recognises this collar, please contact our clinic asap. The Air Tag has been buzzing so we know that her/his family have been looking for their loved one 💔💔

Please spread the word as we know there is a worried pet parent/s out there.

LOCATION: Redlands City Council (possibly around Capalaba, QLD)

We open at 7am tomorrow, or an email can be sent to [email protected]

❗️ CHANGE IN HOURS THIS SATURDAY ❗️

Dear Clients,
Please note that we will be open this Saturday from 8-12pm only. Unfortunately, we will not be able to accept any wildlife as we do not have a vet rostered on the shift to triage and provide treatment. Please transport any stray animals or injured wildlife to your closest emergency vet clinic.
We thank you for your understanding.

EXCITING ANNOUCEMENT *

Next month, Dr Tina and our Practice Manager, Nurse Davina will be going on an amazing adventure to South Africa to take part in a Wildlife Conservation Safari. Working with a small group on this conservation tour, Tina and Davina will have a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to get involved in common wildlife conservation procedures that contribute to national conservation efforts. They are excited to meet and learn from local ecologists about the efforts being made to preserve the beautiful wildlife of South Africa.

In preparation of this trip, we thought it would a cool idea to hold a clinic fundraiser to raise money for the conservation efforts as we know that every little bit counts 🙏
