We would like you to welcome our most recent addition to the team.
Say hi to our super lovely and bubbly vet nurse Sophie. She’s the baby of the clinic and been in the industry for about 3 years now! She has loved animals since she was very young and enjoys working with all types of fur babies. She will fuss over your pets, so be ready!
In her spare time, she plays and coaches netball and is super passionate about traveling.
She has a Staffy called ‘Lilo’ that she adores. ❤️❤️❤️

‘Bella’ recovering near vet office instead of her cage after her sedation, examination and blood work. She was quite content and nudging vets for pats constantly and convincing vet nurses to give her treats. Special treatment for special pooches. Poor little lady was feeling very stiff and sore in the cold weather and we revamped her arthritis management. 😍

‘Smokey’ and ‘Asher’ are one of our regular super handsome siblings. ‘Smokey’ is a glutton and recently developed vomiting which all resolved when he vomited ‘scotch tape’ and voila so far problem resolved. ‘Asher’ is the less compliant for his blood test and required extra sedation. 😻😻😻

‘Leo’ is hoping you had a restful long weekend and are ready to roll tomorrow. He was feeling super dooper sleepy after his prevet calming medications were administered as he needed review X-rays of his back leg to ensure his fracture had healed.

‘Ivy’ came in for a health check and vaccination. She gets anxious at the vet clinic generally but we were able to get her very settled with the guidance of her owners and she did so well and it was a very positive experience for everyone involved. Stress free vet consultations are essential for our special needs pets.

‘Cinderella’, ‘Juliet’ and ‘Marshmallow’ were not so delighted after their check up, vaccinations and attempted nail clips and blood tests.
‘Cinderella’, dark grey face and smallest ragdoll, wasn’t very Cinderella like as she refused her blood test.
‘Marshmallow’ (light grey face) absolutely smoochiest of them all tolerated blood test but gave us grumpy expressions whilst it was happening.
Juliet’ (dark brown face) literally was howing down her licky treat while we collected her blood.

Dr Rayya had to cuddle them at the end as they are sooooo gorgeous.

‘Winston’ is an absolute champion and one of the most stoic Staffies we have ever met. He had mast cells that had spread to his eye and face. Mast cells are skin tumours that can be highly aggressive depending on their grade. He is very much loved and while we knew we can’t save him, we could give him pallliative surgery to get rid of his very sore eye that had ruptured.

His recovery post surgery required intense TLC and even a plasma transfusion to combat the mast cell going into overdrive post surgery.

Thankfully with the dedication of his family and our vet team, he’s finally comfortable and enjoying whatever time he has left with dignity and pain free.
