One of the biggest challenges in our veterinary patients is they don’t always want to follow the vet recommendations. How do you tell a border collie to sit still and allow her paw to heal?
Meet Arya, she injured her dewclaw while chasing a ball and Dr Kirra patched her up.
Arya believes the bandage protects her ouchie and she should be allowed to fully exercise effective immediately.
Please share your challenging experiences with your pets refusing to follow doctors orders.

‘Scout’ (black) and ‘Gertie’ (gold) labradoodles came in for check ups.
Gertie was hospitalised at the emergency for acute hemorrhagic diarrhea syndrome and has fully recovered.
Scout had an ear infection that we treated.
They were sooooo well behaved in the consultation room. In the waiting room, they can be super loud, especially Gertie as she doesn’t like other dogs. They enjoyed their treats. ❤️❤️❤️

‘Flynn’ came in for his annual check up and vaccination today. He explored the room and decided best spot to chill was the sink. He was not impressed about the conversations between mom and his vet regarding reducing his food rations. lol 😂.

‘Bruce’ is wishing you all a wonderful weekend. He was in for his last puppy vaccination booster. He was so treat oriented that he didn’t even notice the needle. You don’t often see this breed. He is quite the character 😁😁😁

‘Rocky’ is such a very naughty boy. He had to have foreign body surgery under 12 months of age. He still can not be trusted and will find things to chew; his latest escapade was clothes pegs he tipped. Thankfully he has such a beautiful nature and is the most good looking boy. We adore him. 😍😍😍

‘Boris’ came in for a health check and vaccination. He had very waxy ears that needed a clean. He was nervous but very compliant and thankfully we were able to get him to eat some treats. Isn’t he just so strikingly handsome? Can you guess his breed?

Caroline and her reception assistant ‘Leo’ will be leaving us soon. She has been as asset to our clinic. We are going to absolutely miss her great sense of humour and her passion to look after our patients and their owners. She will leave a huge hole in our team. We wish her the best of luck in her new veterinary nursing journey! ❤️❤️😪

‘Freya’ is the sweetest and most compliant feline patient. However, her expressions of dismay are priceless. She totally squints and looks away from as she’s hoping that’ll give her camouflage. Can you guess her breed?
