It’s no secret that my attempts at venturing into miniature lops have gone a number of ways, with none of them being good 😅. From failed litters to uninterested does to attempts to get foundation stock falling through, I’d basically given up on the idea, and was ready to stick to my tried and true nethies.
That was until, by some miracle, this litter was born. Arcadia Experiment, after two failed litters and a couple more failed breedings, gave birth to four healthy kits a couple weeks ago.
I held off getting excited about this litter until they’d settled in and gotten a feed from their new foster mum (as Experiment, as lovely as she is, doesn’t seem to understand that kits need to be fed), but now as they’ve continued to thrive with their nethie foster I’m tentatively excited to see how they develop!
Their sire is the lovely Coachhouse Cascadian, a sable marten buck I’ve borrowed from his owner Rabbitopia Bunnies.
