We’re so proud to share that Eva can add a star in front of her name and is now *Khanique Kleopatra AZ after officially passing her Breed Survey today! 🏆✨

A heartfelt thank you to Judge Melanie Groth for her kind critique and for sharing her breed knowledge with us 🙏 — we’re so grateful for the guidance and encouragement.

This is a huge milestone for us — the countless hours of training, dedication, and love have all paid off. Eva has made us incredibly proud, proving she has what it takes to represent the very best of our breeding program. 💪🐕

On the evening of Wednesday 9 July, we held our 62nd AGM at the Clubhouse at EPIC – and what a productive night it was!

We covered the usual business including reports, elections, fee updates, and exciting upcoming events! 💬📊🎉

💡 The new membership fee structure was passed unanimously, and there was enthusiastic discussion around our Breed Survey, Scent Trial, and possibly bringing back a Championship Show! 🎪🐶

National Council matters were also briefly raised, particularly around the future of National Shows. 🇦🇺

🗣 The President reminded us all that we are a Breed Club, proudly focused on promoting and protecting the German Shepherd Dog, while also delivering top-notch obedience training for the community.

📚 Fun fact: The German Shepherd Dog was officially founded in 1899, and posters at our clubhouse show the incredible development of the breed over 100+ years — including Sieger Show champions from Germany! 🐕

The Annual General Meeting of the ACT GSDA will be held on Wednesday 9th July at 5:30 PM at the club’s EPIC grounds.

The purpose of the meeting will be to:
✅ Confirm the minutes from the 2023 AGM
✅ Receive the President’s Report, Treasurer’s Report, and Auditor’s Report
✅ Vote on proposed membership and training fees for 2025–26:
• Joining Fee: $40
• Membership Fee: $100
• Training Fee: $120

✅ Elect the Committee for the coming year, including:

• Vice President
• Secretary
• Treasurer
• Assistant Secretary/Treasurer
• 6 Committee Members

Due to wet weather and ground conditions, all training scheduled for tonight Wednesday 25th June is cancelled.

We know the dogs will be disappointed (and probably muddy anyway! 😅), but safety comes first for our members and their pups.

📣 CALLING ALL DOG LOVERS! 🐾🐶

Our friends at Queanbeyan & District Dog Training Club are hosting their annual Obedience and Rally Trial on Saturday 12 July, and they need help to make it a success! 🙌✨

They’re looking for ring stewards to assist judges and competitors throughout the day. Don’t worry if you’ve never done it before – you’ll be paired with someone experienced. It’s a great way to learn, support the sport, and be part of the action! 💪🎖️
