Good afternoon everyone. Lockdown in the ACT has been extended for a further 2 weeks to 2nd September. Dog grooming is not considered an essential service in the ACT and thus House of Dog (and all other ACT based groomers) must close thier doors. What this means is that any appointments within this time must be cancelled and we will contact you directly if you were booked in.

We have closed off online booking, and will not be booking further appointments for the time being until it is clearer when this will all end. Future appointments when lockdown is lifted will be prioritised for those that have needed to be rescheduled. Apologies for the inconvenience and please be patient at this time as there will be a BIG backlog.

I will liaise with other groomers that may have availability sooner when things open up to give you an alternative. In the meantime if your dog is in dire need of a groom for welfare reasons (I.e severe matting etc) I understand that vet clinics may be able to assist.

I will endeavour to keep you all informed. Stay safe everyone - Tania

Chief Minister Andrew Barr has announced that Canberra's lockdown has been extended until at least Thursday, September 2.

He says more information about the extension will be provided tomorrow.

Update for all my wonderful clients. As many of you know I have a bad shoulder and have been struggling with this for a while. After the last week and a half off I am coming back this week in a limited capacity. I will be doing a few jobs this week but am under strict orders to keep it to a minimum for the next few weeks.
Sorry to all I've had to postpone/cancel - I hate doing it but sadly I have to take action to try and heal. Thank you to the lovely Lisa who has been working hard to find new spots for everyone. Hopefully I'll be back to full capacity soon 🤞.
In the mean time if anyone needs referrals to other groomers please give us a buzz. Thanks everyone for your patience 😁
