It’s afternoons like today that really test out the training you put into your horse.
This afternoon while on a trail ride with one of our own horses, Mally, the herd of horses in the back paddock pushed though a gateway and made their way at a gallop down our driveway to the open front gate.
Our property is completely boarded by roads one of them being the Hume Hwy. This could have become a bad situation very quickly.
Mally had to gallop to catch up to them down a steep gravel road, wheel them back through the gateway, push them through then shut the gate.
She didn’t put a foot wrong and did everything without hesitation. The haunch turns, roll backs, halts, side passes and rein backs all came into use today.
Having never galloped her I’m so pleased with how cool calm and collected she was. Such a awesome mare.
This mare came to us unbroken and had her first ride under saddle April 2018. Super impressed with how well she’s come along in a little over 2 years under saddle.

Enjoy the video of the fresh ponies having a play in their paddock this afternoon.
We are super excited to announce the arrival of our new business cards. 🙌
If you would like one feel free to ask at your next session with us or message the page.
Weekly Wednesday Post 3
Canter into Confidence
For many people lacking confidence they also have a fear of judgement and criticism. This is certainly relevant in the horse community, although at times it is great, it can also be horrible.
We are all well aware of just how judgmental the horse industry can be and because of this I’m urging everyone to think about the following..
Every individual person thinks what they are doing with their horse is right. Nobody sets out to do the ‘wrong thing’. So remember this when watching someone else with their horse, or the next time a judgmental thought crosses your mind. Everyone is doing what they think is the best and right thing for their horse/s. Whether or not you agree - they are trying their best and doing what they think is right. 🐎
I encourage you all this week to support, praise, and complement someone in the horse community because everyone is trying their best and trying to do the right thing. 💕
