Monaro Park Dog Boarding

Important traffic changes coming up in a couple of weeks that will impact your trip to our facilities. Please note that you will need to come to Monaro Park from the Southside and cross over the middle section of the highway. You'll only be able to turn right heading northbound when you exit. We apologise for the inconvenience.

🚨𝐈𝐌𝐏𝐎𝐑𝐓𝐀𝐍𝐓 𝐀𝐍𝐍𝐎𝐔𝐍𝐂𝐄𝐌𝐄𝐍𝐓🚨

Due to the Monaro Highway saftey and efficient upgrades, there will be an off-peak weekend closure of Monaro Highway (southbound only) between Hindmarsh Drive and Lanyon Drive.

The closure is scheduled from 7pm, Friday 14 November to 5am, Monday 17 November 2025 (weather dependent)

The closure is in place to allow reconstruction of pavement along sections of the Monaro Highway’s southbound carriageway.

During the closure, the following detours will be in place:

👉 Travelling west on Hindmarsh Drive, left on to Mugga Lane and continue onto Monaro Highway.
👉 Travelling east on Hindmarsh Drive, right on to Canberra Avenue right on to Lanyon Drive and continue to Monaro Highway. NB: Heavy vehicles will be diverted to this detour.
👉 Travelling west along Canberra Avenue, left on to Sturt Avenue and Jerrabomberra Ave, right on to Hindmarsh Drive.

Traffic management will be in place during the closure to allow access for emergency services vehicles and access to the Alexander Maconochie Centre and ACT Government facilities along David Warren Road.

This closure helps the safety of both road users and project workers whilst works are undertaken.

Road users are reminded to follow all signage and directions from traffic controllers, and to be aware that reduced speed limits apply throughout the project site.

IMPORTANT: Please note that there are some significant works going on to resurface Monaro Highway at the moment. Rest assured that you can still access the Monaro Park Dog Boarding access road from the highway. Please follow all signposted directions and advise the road workers of your need to drive down the side road to Monaro Park, and they will guide you to where you need to go.

UPDATE: Position filled - thank you all for your interest 🧡

Hi everyone.

We are hoping to go overseas for about a week in May - possibly from Monday 8th to Sunday 15th. We are looking for someone confident and capable to work for the dog boarding during this time. We would require the staff member to be at the dog boarding kennels between 8:00-10:00am every day, and potentially 3:00-5:00pm each week day (this afternoon shift may not be required) for pick up and drop off's. We MIGHT have the new kennels up and running by this time so it will be a really nice new facility to work in.

Daily tasks include:
Running/playing with dogs
Cleaning out kennels daily
Picking up poo
Feeding and watering dogs
General health and wellbeing checks
Medication provision (if required)

WANTED: An animal attendant for work from 15th to 22nd October!!

If you or someone you know would be interested in some casual, paid work for one week in October, please reach out.

We require someone confident in working with dogs of all sizes and breeds and someone who can also provide good customer service to our lovely clients.

Must be available to work every day from 15th to 22nd October from 8:00am to 10:00am and 3:00pm to 5:00pm each day.

Daily tasks will include exercising and playing with dogs, cleaning kennels, facilitating pick ups and drop off's of dogs and feeding and watering the dogs daily.

Full training will be provided prior to the work period.
