🌞🐶 Self-Care Sunday Routine For Your Dog! 🐾💆‍♂️

Self-care is as important for our pets as it is for us.
Why not include your pup in your self-care Sunday routine?
Here's how to pamper your furry friend:

Doggy Massage 💆‍♂️🐶
Start with a relaxing massage to ease their muscles and joints. It's a great way to bond and provide them with the love they deserve. Focus on the ears, head, thighs, and back.

Fur & Foot Mask 🛁🐾
Moisturize their fur and soothe dry skin with a DIY oil mask.
Mix ½ cup of olive oil with 1 cup of liquid coconut oil. Comb through their fur, leave for 30-45 mins, then wash out.
Don’t forget their paws!

Relaxing Lick Mat 🍯👅
Treat your pup with a relaxing lick mat filled with all-natural ingredients. It’s a fantastic way to relieve stress and anxiety.

Tea Time ☕
Share a cup of organis chamomile & ginger tea with your dog. This combo helps calm nerves and aids digestion.

Meal Prep 🍲
Prepare nutritious meals for the week ahead. There are loads of fresh, tasty and nutritious options which make for easy and healthy meal prepping.

Incorporating these activities into your Sunday routine ensures quality bonding time and keeps your pup happy and healthy! 🐕❤️

HEADS UP, Canberra ! Wild weather is on the way!🌩️

Forecasts indicate that the weather tomorrow afternoon could get nasty, with thunderstorms predicted and the potential for SEVERE STORMS bringing:

💨 Damaging winds
🧊 Large hailstones
🌧️ Heavy rain — up to 30 mm under storm cells
🌊 Possible flash flooding

⚠️ Don't get caught off guard and please keep your pets safe and indoors if possible.
⚠️ Make sure your pets are microchipped and the details are current and they have a collar with ID tag
⚠️ Ensure all gate sand fences are secure.
⚠️ If possible please stay with your pets and keep them safe and secure.

Storms are terrifying and disorientating for many pets and animals so please be aware.

Also, secure loose items around your home, keep an eye on the weather radar and follow the latest Bureau of Meteorology (BOM) warnings as the day unfolds.

🐶💛 It's National Make a Dog’s Day! 🐾🎉

Today is all about celebrating our wonderful canine companions and making their day extra special! 🐕❤️

Whether your dog loves a long walk, a game of fetch, a tasty treat, a new toy or simply snuggling up beside you on the couch, today is the perfect excuse to give them a little extra love. 🦴🎾🛋️

🐾 Here are a few ways to make your dog’s day:

🐾💙 Tiny Vet Clinic Update – 14 October 2026 💙🐾

🌸🥶 Those brisk spring mornings certainly test the resolve of our wonderful Tiny Vet Clinic volunteers, but they always turn up, ready to help Canberra’s pets! 🐶🐱❤️

Dr Arul and nurse Amy rolled up their sleeves for another busy clinic, providing health checks, vaccinations, arthritis treatments and more. 🩺💉

🐕 Here are some of the gorgeous patients who visited us!

💉 Bobby Girl & Mr Bo – These two very different personalities came in for their vaccinations and check-ups and passed with flying colours!
Bo was delighted to see everyone, while Bobby Girl was a little less enthusiastic. 😂🐾

🐶 Chopper – Came in for his allergy treatment, and his owner reported no itchy flare-ups. What fantastic news! 🙌❤️

🦴 Banjo – After a fever prevented him from receiving his vaccination at his last visit following dental treatment, Banjo was back for a check-up.
Thankfully, everything has settled, and he was able to receive his vaccination to help keep him protected. 💉👏

🐕‍🦺 Hamish – Our senior gentleman also received his vaccination. ❤️
As our pets get older, keeping their vaccinations up to date remains an important part of protecting them against preventable diseases.

A huge thank you to Dr Arul, nurse Amy and all our dedicated volunteers who brave the chilly mornings to provide essential veterinary care to Canberra’s pets. 🥰🐾

Every wagging tail, successful treatment and healthier pet reminds us why the Tiny Vet Clinic is so important! 💙

As Dr Helen prepares to move interstate and begin an exciting new chapter, we want to take a moment to recognise and thank her for everything she has contributed to our Tiny Vet Clinic.

Helen, your compassion, kindness and dedication to caring for pets and supporting their families have made a real difference.
We are so grateful for the time and care you have given to our clinic and the community. ❤️🐶🐱

It’s never easy to say goodbye to a valued member of the team, and you will certainly be missed by us all.
We hope you know how much your work has meant to the clinic and the many pets and people you’ve helped along the way.

If you arrive AFTER 11:30am, there’s a chance we may not be able to see your pet, even if you are registered.
Occasionally, clinics may be cancelled if a vet is unavailable — this is outside of our control, but we’ll always do our best to keep you informed.
If extreme weather conditions are forecast or temperatures of 35C or over are expected, the clinic will be cancelled and notices posted on our social media.

🐾 Milo’s Mishap – A Tail of Unexpected Trouble! 🐶💔

Young Milo was having a fabulous time galivanting around, enjoying life just as young pups do! 🐕💨
Unfortunately, jumping through a glass window turned out to be a rather unfortunate decision, leaving poor Milo with a severely injured tail and a wound extending right down to the bone. 😢🩹

His worried owners rushed him to Tuggeranong Vet Hospital (TVH), where the veterinary team assessed his injuries and determined that surgery to remove the badly damaged part of his tail was the safest option. 🏥👩‍⚕️

For Milo’s owners, who live on a limited income, covering the full cost of the surgery and essential medications simply wasn’t possible. They contributed what they could, and the wonderful team at TVH submitted an application to ACT Pet Crisis Support for assistance. ❤️🐾

✨ Application approved! ✨

With financial assistance secured, Milo was able to head into surgery to have his damaged tail treated. Thankfully, he had an excellent prognosis for a full recovery — although he’ll be sporting a slightly shorter tail from now on! 🐶❤️

Milo was discharged home into the loving care of his very grateful owners, ready to recover and get back to enjoying puppy life. We suspect his future adventures will involve a little more supervision and a lot less window-jumping! 😂🪟

💚 This is why ACT Pet Crisis Support exists. Unexpected accidents can happen in an instant, and when veterinary treatment costs more than a family can afford, we want to help ensure pets can receive the care they desperately need.
