Introducing Bordercult Moriarty (imp Austria) - "Arty"
Where do I even start? I have been buzzing and anxious all at the same time over the past few weeks.
We have kindly been given the opportunity to use this stunning boy, and he’s been entrusted into our care, for this little venture with Erin for her next litter.
I’m so pleased we were able to have him sent down earlier in the week before his date with Erin. It’s given me time to spend with him, get to know him, and wow — this dog has an absolutely beautiful temperament. He’s a complete teddy bear and loves a good snuggle with anyone willing to give one.
He has a quiet confidence even when his a little apprehensive. Coming out of his crate after his flight and into the hands of complete strangers, within minutes he was lapping up the cuddles. He hasn’t been too phased at all when put into a new environment or meeting lots of new people — he was so chilled when he attended a work meeting with me, in a room of 10 people. Meeting some new dogs where he’s staying — three neutered girls — he’s been polite and not pushy. Even the little terrier x, who is dog-sensitive, wasn’t put off by him and absolutely adores him.
Meeting Erin to see where she’s at and allow them a chance to get accustom to each other, he’s been a complete gentleman for an experienced stud dog. He took note of her rejection of his advances and settled to just enjoy her company.
So excited for what lays ahead after all the planning, stress I have been feeling and waiting for this moment to arrive.
I am so thankful and appreciative of Johanna of Clan-Abby Border Collies. I cannot thank her enough for entrusting Arty into our care. It’s certainly going to hard to let him go when it’s time to send him home.
