Remember to check you pets everywhere for grass seeds after walks, especially their chest fluff too!

🐾 Max vs. The Mystery Lump! 🐾

Meet Max, a brave pup who recently had a scary health scare. 😢 His owners took him to Kippax Vet when they noticed a swelling in his throat. Vets suspected a foreign body — possibly a grass seed — was the culprit.

🩺 Initial treatment seemed to help, but then things took a turn for the worse. The lump grew rapidly, making it difficult for Max to swallow and breathe. It was painful and dangerous, and urgent surgery was needed. 🚨

💰 His loving owner rallied family and friends to cover as much as they could, but they were still short. That’s when Kippax Vet reached out to ACT Pet Crisis Support, and we stepped in to help!

⚡️ Under anaesthesia, the amazing vet team discovered a large inflammation and infection caused by — you guessed it — a pesky grass seed! 🌱 That tiny invader had caused a huge problem, but thankfully, Max’s surgery was a success! 🎉

🏡 Now home and on the mend, Max is one happy pup again! His relieved family is keeping a close eye on him as he recovers. 💙

🌾 Grass seeds can be a hidden danger! They can pe*****te the skin, ears, nose, and throat —leading to painful infections and costly surgeries.
Regular checks during grass seed season can save your pet from unnecessary suffering! 🐕❤️

What is responsible breeding?

A responsible breeder is the best source for a well-bred, healthy dog. The breeder will carefully select the parents of each litter to emphasize desirable attributes and minimise faults in their progeny.

Some people breed dogs only to produce puppies to sell. These individuals have no regard for the advancement of the breed, they are motivated solely by profit.

Responsible breeders will never breed a litter without considering the advancement of the breed. Each litter should improve the quality of breeding stock, resulting in happy puppies with improved soundness, that is, physical and mental health that are an advancement towards the ideal.

Another good reason to buy a puppy from a breeder is that it gives you the opportunity to interact with the puppy’s siblings, dam and possibly the sire. You can therefore form a general impression of what the future holds for the puppy you take home.

Are you looking for a new puppy, who is well mannered, toilet trained and house trained? Then these gorgeous boys are the perfect pups for you! Our 3 lucky last pups are short haired, low shedding, caring, curious, affectionate and playful boys who would love to join your family!

These beautiful pups are well socialised with our 5 kids and 2 adult dogs, love people and being active. They enjoy spending time with their humans and dog family both inside and outside the house, and they love cuddles & pats!

Boy 2 is red & white in colour with gorgeous brown eyes. He loves to chase balls around the backyard, have lots of cuddles and enjoys a good long nap after food time! He loves a good belly rub and enjoys playing outside. He will be on the larger size of a medium dog when fully grown.

Boy 4 is black & white with captivating blue and brown eyes. He loves to play all sorts of games, and enjoys racing around our large backyard. The smallest pup of our litter, he enjoys a good pat and belly rub, as well as long naps! This gorgeous boy can be a bit shy, but once he gets to know you his beautiful personality really shines! He is on the smaller side of a medium dog and will be medium sized when fully grown.
