🐾 Meet my newest furbaby friends, Mack & Trixie 💛

I’ll be caring for these two gorgeous souls over the next week and a half 🥰

🐶 Mack is an 11-year-old Aussie Cattle Dog who is still very much a puppy at heart! Full of personality, love, and energy 💙

🐾 Trixie is a sweet 16-year-old lady who absolutely loves a good snuggle and all the cuddles 💕

I’m so excited to spend time with these beautiful babies and give them lots of love and care while their family is away 😊

🐾💛 Meet Ernie 💛🐾

I recently started walking this gorgeous 6-month-old boy, Ernie, who is currently looking for his forever home through 🐶

Ernie came down from Broome with his brother after not having the best start to life, but despite that, he is such a sweet and affectionate puppy. Once he starts to trust you, he absolutely showers you with love 🥹💛

Like many rescue pups, Ernie can be a little nervous meeting new people and new environments at first, but he’s already showing so much potential. He just needs patience, reassurance, and someone willing to help him build confidence and feel safe in the world.

He’s still just a baby learning how life works, and it’s honestly so rewarding watching him slowly come out of his shell 🐾

Ernie would thrive in a loving home where he can continue learning routines, building trust, and being part of the family he deserves.

Rescue dogs really are incredible. Sometimes all they need is someone to give them a chance 💛

🐾🐕 Confidence Building in Dogs

Confidence isn’t something dogs are born with — it’s something we help them develop through positive experiences.

🧠 Start small- Break things down into simple, achievable steps so your dog can succeed without feeling overwhelmed.
🏡 Safe environments first- Practice new skills in calm, familiar spaces before gradually adding distractions.
🎉 Reward effort, not perfection- Confidence grows when dogs feel like trying is worth it. Celebrate small wins.
🚶‍♀️ Controlled exposure- Slowly introducing new sights, sounds, people, and environments helps build resilience over time.
💛 Your energy matters- A calm, encouraging handler helps a dog feel secure enough to try new things.
✨ A confident dog isn’t fearless — they’re simply supported enough to try anyway.

❓🐾 Frequently Asked Questions

I get asked these a lot — so here are some quick answers! 👇

💊 Do you give meds?
Yes — we can administer prescribed medication as part of your pet’s care routine, as long as clear instructions are provided, however I do not have experience injecting animals medication, so this would have to be shown to me.

🐶 Do you do puppies?
Absolutely! Puppies are welcome 🐾 I focus on gentle handling, routine, basic training reinforcement, and building positive early experiences.

🐾 Do you do other animals?
Yes — I don’t just care for dogs! I can help with a range of pets depending on their needs, including feeding, welfare checks, and general care. Some of the animals i have experience with are: dogs, cats, rabbits, guinea pigs, pigs, horses, mice, rats and chickens 🐕🐈🐇🐖🐎🐁🐀🐔

💛 If you’re ever unsure whether I can help — just ask. I'm always happy to chat and see what’s possible for your animals.

🐾🎓 Tricks + Bonding
Teaching your dog tricks isn’t just about showing off — it’s one of the best ways to build trust and connection.

🧠 Mental stimulation- Learning new cues keeps your dog’s brain active and engaged, helping prevent boredom and unwanted behaviours.
🤝 Stronger bond- When you train together, you’re communicating clearly and building mutual understanding. Your dog learns that working with you is rewarding.
💛 Confidence building- Even simple tricks like “sit,” “touch,” or “spin” can help shy or anxious dogs feel more capable and secure.
⏱️ Short and positive sessions- A few minutes a day is more effective than long, tiring training sessions. Keep it fun, calm, and rewarding.

✨ It’s not about perfection — it’s about connection.
Every trick is just another way of saying: we understand each other. 🐶

🐾⚡ Exercise Tips for a Healthier, Happier Dog

Exercise isn’t just about burning energy — it’s about building a balanced mind and body.

🚶‍♀️ Quality over quantity- A long walk doesn’t always mean a good walk. Mix it up with sniffing, training, and slow exploration.
🧠 Include mental exercise- Short training sessions, scent games, and problem-solving activities can tire a dog out faster than physical exercise alone.
🐕 Match the exercise to the dog- A young working breed will need more stimulation than a senior dog — adjust based on age, breed, and personality.
🌡️ Watch the conditions- Avoid over-exercising in heat or harsh weather. Dogs overheat quickly and don’t always know when to stop.
💛 Rest is part of exercise too- Recovery is just as important as activity. Over-exercising can lead to stress, injuries, and behavioural issues.
✨ A well-exercised dog isn’t just tired — they’re calm, satisfied, and able to settle at home.

To us, a walk is about getting from A to B…
To a dog, it’s all about what they can smell along the way.

👃 Sniffing is how dogs read their world — it’s their version of checking messages, exploring stories, and understanding their environment.
🧠 It’s also powerful mental stimulation
A good sniffing session can tire a dog out more than a long physical walk because it engages their brain, not just their body.
💛 It reduces stress- Allowing dogs to sniff freely helps lower anxiety, builds confidence, and promotes calm behaviour.
🚶‍♀️ Slow down the walk
Let them stop, explore, and take their time — it’s not “bad walking,” it’s natural dog behaviour.
✨ A 10-minute sniff-filled walk can be more fulfilling than a 45-minute rushed one.

Next time you’re out, remember:
Let them sniff — that’s their world speaking. 🐶

🐾🧘 Do you have an anxious dog?

Anxiety in dogs isn’t “bad behaviour” — it’s communication.

Whether it’s pacing, barking, chewing, or clinging, these behaviours usually mean your dog is feeling unsure, overstimulated, or unsafe.

Here’s what actually helps:
🏡 Predictable routines- Dogs feel safer when they know what’s coming next.
🚶‍♀️ Controlled exposure- Small, calm introductions to triggers (not overwhelming situations) help build confidence over time.
🧠 Mental enrichment- Sniffing games, food puzzles, and calm training work can reduce stress far more than just physical exercise.
🧘 Calm handling & energy- Dogs pick up on our emotions — calm leadership helps them regulate theirs.
💤 Rest is essential- Anxious dogs often struggle to switch off, so teaching rest is just as important as teaching obedience.
✨ Progress isn’t instant — it’s built through consistency, patience, and understanding what your dog is trying to say.

A calm dog starts with feeling safe, not forced. 🐶

🐾 Walk + Kennel + Home Life — Why Balance Matters

A well-adjusted dog isn’t just about exercise or just about rest… it’s about balance across all parts of their day.

🚶‍♀️Walks aren’t just toilet breaks — they’re mental stimulation, sniffing time, confidence building, and a chance to explore the world.

🏡 Home life At home, dogs need calm structure, routine, affection, and clear boundaries so they feel safe and settled.

🏠 Kennel / downtime. Rest is just as important as activity. Time in a kennel or quiet space helps dogs regulate, decompress, and avoid overstimulation — especially in busy households.

✨ When all three are balanced, you’ll notice a calmer, happier, more predictable dog who can truly switch off when needed.

It’s not about doing more… it’s about doing the right mix. 🐶

💧🐶 Hydration OR Dental… which matters more?

The truth is — your pet doesn’t get to choose, so we have to make sure they’ve got both covered.

💧 Hydration keeps them alive and thriving Fresh water supports digestion, energy, temperature control, and overall organ health. A dehydrated pet can become unwell fast, especially in warmer weather.

🦷 Dental care keeps them pain-free Dental disease is one of the most common (and overlooked) issues in pets. Bad breath isn’t just “dog breath” — it can mean infection, pain, and even impact heart and kidney health if left untreated.

✨ The good news? Both are simple daily habits. Clean water + regular dental care = a healthier, happier pet.

Don’t make it a choice — give them both. 🐾
