✨️ Little Miss Franklin ✨️
This sweet girl came to see us this week for her big dental procedure 🦷 Isn't she so cute! 🎀
Once she was safely under general anaesthetic, we could properly assess her teeth - and there was significant plaque, calculus build-up, and damage 😨
Miss Franklin is just one of many pets we see every day with dental disease. It’s incredibly common, and not the fault of owners - there simply isn’t enough awareness around pet dental care. By age 3, most dogs and cats already show signs of dental disease, which can lead to pain, infection, and even affect vital organs like the heart and kidneys if left untreated.
Regular check-ups aren’t about “wanting your money” — they’re about keeping your pets happy, comfortable, and as pain-free as possible 🙌
After a thorough exam and extensive dental x-rays, it turned out that Miss Franklin needed 4 teeth extracted 😬
Recovery can take 1–2 days after a general anaesthetic, and around 10–14 days for full healing, but she’s already on the road to feeling like herself again ✨️
📣 Spread the word! When was the last time your pet had a dental check? If you’re unsure, book a quick free dental check with one of our veterinary nurses - prevention is always better (and cheaper) than extractions!
