Jill offers a salon-based dog grooming service in Smithfield Cairns, as well as tuition for dog owners who wish to learn how to groom their pets correctly to help them cope with the tropical climate. Smooch a Pooch is also a Professional Dog Grooming School offering coaching for

dog lovers wishing to enter the Pet Industry as a groomer. The 4-Day Professional Dog Grooming Course is also available at DGS Imports in Shailer Park, Brisbane - it is run once every 8 weeks.

Kara did her first poodle groom on Guy 🐩 - lovely job.

Evie, our youngster (still at school) was awesome. She wants a job in a Grooming Salon on Sarurdays, if anyone has any contacts.

Laurenn did a beautiful sc******ng job on Teddy today. Even though she only plans to groom her own Spoodle, she will definitely get asked to groom other people’s pooches.

Day 3 of the March ‘26 course is complete.

We had a lot of dogs to groom today.
🤣
Normally class size is 6, but this was a small group of 3 this time. So we had to do the extra doggies.

Luckily we were able to welcome Christina from Heidi’s Pet Grooming Jimboomba. She returned for a day of Advanced Sc******ng and Face Shaping.

7 very smart-looking dogs went home at the end of the day 👍😇

Day 2 of the 4-day Grooming Course in Brisbane is complete.

The girls did really well again.
We had 2 naughty, cheeky little dogs Rosie and Lily, who did their best to make Laurenn’s and Kara’s life really hard.
They are the cutest little Maltese x Shi’zhus but they hate having their paws groomed.

Tobby behaved well and Evie groomed him beautifully.

Little Sage was an extra dog today, so I gave her a quick spruce up before she went home.
