Meet Bird 😍

Not Steve. Not Mango. Not Captain Feathers. Just... Bird!

Bird is a 3-year-old Red bellied Conure who is looking for a new home due to a change in circumstances. He's a much-loved pet who believes he should be involved in absolutely everything you're doing and isn't shy about reminding you when he's being ignored. 😅

About Bird
• 3 years old
• Male (not DNA tested)
• Tame and enjoys human company
• Generally very well behaved
• May offer the occasional nibble/bite
• Suitable for older children

🦜 A special note about Bird

Bird has half a wing missing due to an accident earlier in life. It doesn't slow him down in the confidence department though. While Bird cannot properly fly, he remains completely convinced that he can.

Because of this, he is not suited to a flight aviary or a home where he can access high places unsupervised. Bird's judgement occasionally exceeds his abilities, so he'll need a safe environment with people who understand his needs.

Bird forms very strong bonds with his people and loves being part of the family. The decision to rehome him has been incredibly difficult and it’s important Bird has the companionship and daytime interaction he deserves.

This is not a first-come, first-served situation. We are looking for the right home — one that understands that Bird isn't just a bird, he's a feathered family member with a big personality, strong opinions, and absolutely no awareness of his own aerodynamic limitations 😍🤩

🦜Bird-Sitting Diaries: Meet Billy Jean 🦜

For the next month, we're lucky enough to have the delightful Billy Jean, a Pineapple Conure, staying with one of our carers while her owner visits family.

Billy Jean is sweet, curious, and has absolutely mastered the art of reminding everyone she's in the room with her adorable little squeaks for attention. ❤️

When she's not supervising household activities from her perch, she's busy enjoying her favourite part of the day — out-of-cage time! Whether it's exploring, playing, or simply being close to her humans, Billy Jean loves being part of the action.

As much as we're enjoying her company, it also highlights how important it is for bird owners to have peace of mind when they're away. Birds are intelligent, social creatures that thrive on daily interaction, routine, and care.

FOUND- A Bird has been handed into the Edmonton vet today- proof of ownership required- unsure of type.

We have had a bird handed into the clinic today. Proof of ownership will be required please phone 40455555 if you have lost your bird. 🦜

Update 15.6.26 we still have this beautiful bird in the clinic. It does have unique traits that will need to be identified.

🦜 Molly is Looking for a New Team to Manage 🦜☺️

Meet Molly, a beautiful Indian Ringneck, approximately 4 years old, who is currently accepting applications for a new forever home.

Molly was hand-raised and has been a much-loved family member her entire life, so finding the right home for her is incredibly important. While she may take a little time to interview her prospective humans, once you've passed probation you'll discover she's a friendly, chatty girl with plenty to say.

Molly has no known medical concerns and previously shared her home with another Ringneck, so she is known to get along well with other birds. Her hobbies include supervising household activities, sampling fresh fruit and vegetables, enjoying her daily seed, and offering unsolicited commentary from across the room.

An aviary can go with Molly if needed. It is currently disassembled and will require some assembly—consider it a practical test to ensure applicants are suitably dedicated to their new feathered employer.

Molly can travel to her new home in her small bird cage and is ready to begin the next chapter of her life with a family who will love and care for her as much as we do.
