Welcome, sweet Corrie! 💙
At 16, this little man is walking in the treadmill like a champ. He has recently started his hydrotherapy journey with us to support his mobility and after each session he seems to be walking much more comfortably. Good work Corrie 🫶🏼

We are stoked to have Dr. Andy visiting us every fortnight providing a great service for the dogs of Cairns. She will be operating out of our centre starting in December 🐾

🌟 Meet Tui! 🌟

Tui is an 11-year-old Shepherd Cross who has just started our 6-week Senior Program to help manage his osteoarthritis in his elbows and spine. Despite his age and the challenges that come with arthritis, Tui has taken to the underwater treadmill like an absolute champion! 💪

We are so proud of how well he’s settled into his sessions already, and we can’t wait to watch his progress unfold over the next 6 weeks 🤍

A passionate health advocate who once said Cairns cancer sufferers were being forced to “fly or die”, has suddenly died. Todays story honours beloved health advocate Sarah Sexton, whose sudden death has left a huge void in the community she fought so hard for. 🐾 MEET ZIGGY 🐾
Ziggy has made incredible progress after her hip dislocation. With regular hydrotherapy sessions twice a week, she’s now moving comfortably, showing no signs of lameness, and is back to playing with the kids. We’re so happy with her recovery — and so are her owners ❤️

🐾 MEET CHEWIE 🐾
Chewie has been coming to Hydro Hounds for hydrotherapy after having major surgery to repair his angular limb deformity and cruciate rupture. Recovery is never easy—especially for a big dog like him—but his resilience has been amazing. We’re so proud of how far he’s come! 🤍

Meet Coco, a sweet 4-year-old Pomeranian who joined us at Hydro Hounds last week for her first hydrotherapy session! 🐾 Coco is working hard to strengthen her hindlimb muscles after previously having surgery to correct her luxating patella’s (slipping kneecaps) and recently being diagnosed with moderate hip dysplasia in her left hip 💪

Coco did an amazing job on her first session, and we’re so excited to be part of her journey towards a stronger, more comfortable future. Can’t wait to see how much progress she makes! 🌊✨

We’d like to introduce you to Amber! 🐾 After her cruciate surgery, Amber was understandably nervous about getting into the underwater treadmill. But with patience, encouragement, and working at her pace, she’s come such a long way. Now, she walks straight in with barely any hesitation and hardly needs any encouragement! It’s been amazing watching her regain her strength and confidence, and we couldn’t be more proud of her progress.

For those of you who don’t know him, this is Loki. He is our Alaskan Malamute with a big voice and an even bigger heart! 🤍 Loki has been coming to Hydro Hounds from the very beginning, working hard on strengthening his forelimb and hindlimb muscles. Not only is he a champion in the treadmill, but he’s also famous around here for making sure everyone knows when he’s in the building! The receptionist next door can even tell what time it is by his signature howl! 😂 Keep up the hard work Loki – you’re truly one of a kind! 🌟
