MUM’S ARE THE HEART OF OUR WORLD – I don’t have children but I do have a wonderful mother. Even at my age she is still my light, my rock, my confidante and best cheerleader who sees the best in me and wants the best for me. We are lucky if we have that love in our life by any measure.

I don’t generally refer to myself as Romeo’s ‘mother’ but I am the heart of his world, who takes care of him, guides him, feeds him, protects him, encourages him, takes pride in his growth and forgives his mistakes, and always picks him up after a stumble. I see the best in him and want the best for him. I love him.

To him, if there is any mother figure in his life it’s me. Wherever I am he is home, safe and loved. He is his own soul, encouraged to be independent and grow into himself and all he can be, but knows he is protected and I am there in whatever way he needs me.

And I know if you’re reading this, you are no doubt the same.

So, to all my sisters out there who are dog mothers – the heart of their dog’s world, their carers, protectors and nourishers – today, Mother’s Day, I celebrate you and your heart and the connection you have created with your precious dog.

Never underestimate the love you share and the soul-critical role you play in their life.

The essence of being a mother is unconditional love, in all its forms.
It is not always easy. All mothers will attest to that. But they will also say that it is a role that, in the care of and responsibility for these little souls and the magic they bring, it fills our life in ways we didn’t know possible.

I know, for me, being Romeo’s #1 human makes me a better human – and my life is full of a love that only he can bring. It is my honour to be his dog mother.

Happy Mother’s Day to all the mothers out there. You are the heart of the world.

Most senior dogs are deficient in this - and it’s likely at the root of many of their aging issues.

Sulphur – it is the third most abundant mineral in the body after calcium and phosphorus. It supports hundreds of essential bodily functions - from joints and connective tissue to immunity, detoxification, kidney health and brain function.

But it depletes with age.

They won’t get it in dog food. Heat destroys whatever remains in processed food. No matter what the packet says.

The paradox is the more they need it, the less there is.

BUT! You can boost it easily every day.

Enter - MSM — methylsulfonylmethane - organic sulphur in its most bioavailable form. Pure, natural and extensively researched.

The science has been building for over 40 years.

Studies show MSM may support:
— Joint health and reduced inflammation
— Repair of cartilage and connective tissue
— Healthy coat, skin and nails
— Digestive health and gut integrity
— Sustained energy and faster recovery
— Strengthened immunity via glutathione (the body’s master antioxidant)
— Kidney health and reduction of excess urea
— Brain health (MSM crosses the blood-brain barrier)

One mineral. Research supporting all of these.

And it’s not just seniors. Big dogs need it too.

Romeo is almost 6 and 45 kilos. His joints carry that weight every single day. I do many things to support his joints and immunity, and he’s super happy and healthy – BUT his paws are already greying. I’m not waiting for aging ailments before giving him the extra support he needs.

Big dogs age faster. Early support makes all the difference.

I add a daily scoop to his breakfast every morning.
(I take it every day too in my lemon water!)
You can too.

Whether your dog is a senior or a big dog - don’t wait.

Get out in front.

April is Senior Dog Love Month!
We’re giving 15% OFF Pure MSM (and all our mushroom products) until April 30.

Dog dementia is real - and most dog humans miss the early signs.

Blank stares. Restless nights. Getting lost in familiar places. Forgetting commands. Toilet accidents. Anxiety.

Sound familiar? It might just be age but it doesn’t have to be.

Science tells us early intervention has the best outcomes. The time to act is before the signs are obvious and entrenched.

Lion’s Mane is one of the most researched brain health mushrooms in the world.

Research supports its role in:
— Supporting brain health and memory
— Repairing and growing brain cells
— Reducing brain inflammation
— Calming anxiety and stress
— Supporting immunity

April is Senior Dog Love Month.
Get 15% off Pure Lion’s Mane and all our medicinal mushroom range (including Turkey Tail, our Immunity Blend and Mobility Blend - stack to suit your dog’s health and age needs) before 1 May.

We all fear cognitive decline as we age. Their brains age too - but you can do something about it.

1 in 3 dogs over 11 will show signs of dementia. But it can start as young as 8.

Most dog humans miss it — because it’s easy to put down to ‘just getting old.’
Watch for signs like: → Disorientation or confusion in familiar places → Blank staring → Changes in sleep patterns → Toilet mishaps indoors → Anxiety or unexplained panting → Getting lost on walks they know well

Between 14-35% of senior dogs are affected by canine cognitive dysfunction. Yet less than 2% are ever diagnosed.

If something feels different about your dog - it probably is.

The good news? Nature has an answer.
🍄 Lion’s Mane mushroom.

Backed by many decades of peer-reviewed science, research shows Lion’s Mane to:
🧠 Support brain health and memory
⚡ Help repair and grow brain cells
🌿 Reduce brain inflammation
😌 Calm anxiety and stress
🔬 Supported by double-blind clinical trials

The science says that early intervention is the best response of all.

PLUS Lion’s Mane goes beyond brain health. It’s a powerful immunity boost.

1 in 2 senior dogs over 10 will face cancer – it’s their #1 cause of death.

Lion’s Mane also powerfully supports the immunity they need to face it.

So, if your dog is getting on - get out in front. Every day.

A daily dose of Lion’s Mane is a daily act of love and neurological support.
(I take it every day myself!)

April is Senior Dog Love Month for us (and every month/day really)

We’re giving 15% OFF Lion’s Mane and ALL our mushroom products - until April 30.

There’s a mushroom for everyone and our dogs need them too.

Our Dogs’ Toy Box: Science-backed happiness tool

Toy boxes aren’t just for human kids — in our home, our dogs have their own, right there in the living room. They go to it regularly to select a toy to play with (but never to put them back!).

But it’s not really about the toys - it’s about them having a choice.

It helps their mental health.

Recent veterinary research (1) tells us that giving dogs meaningful choices in their day - which toy, which dog bed to nap in, which water bowl to drink from, or to be able to scratch at the door and be let out - is one of the most important things we can do for their mental health.

These researchers found that prioritising their psychological wellbeing leads to better physical health outcomes. It’s more than daily walks and belly rubs – it’s some agency and autonomy.

Conversely, dogs with limited control over their lives are more likely to develop anxiety and behavioural problems.

If your dog is anxious, stressed, bored, depressed, has extra energy to burn or just a lot of toys everywhere, consider a toy box and other ‘choices’ for them to build their confidence and happiness.

Look at your home from your dog’s perspective and introduce opportunities for them to be themselves. Not only will they love you extra for it, but they’ll be happier and healthier. Small changes, big happiness.

Romeo loves camping. 🐾⛺

Maybe it’s because he was born in a tent. Or bc his dad was a wild dog who lived in the bush. Or maybe it’s just the freedom to be himself with those he loves in wild nature.

Whatever the reason — he loves it. So do I.

Do you and your dog love life adventures in nature?

This Easter, take your dog on an adventure you’ll both love. And if you’re planning a trip we’ve got a recipe at the end to make healthy outdoor dinners easy.

The ‘good life’ is powered by nature, and boosted by love. So is good food.

Fuel them on real food and our Super Veggie Mix (or Vita Veggie Mix) - bc even wild souls need real nutrition.

This Xmas I was inspired to make some beads for our family dogs. Especially for those dogs who are the ‘kids’ of that family unit. I’ll never tire of treasuring and celebrating dogs, whether in our home, extended family or around the world.

They make the world a better place and us better humans. And certainly a more loving family.

As we head into 2026 and the noise of the world starts to try to crowd out the peace, love and giggles of the holidays, before dog. Present, loving, accepting, flexible, supportive and forgiving. Seeing the best in everyone and each new day as another chance for adventure and love.

Whenever in doubt, give more love, see the goodness and magic around us, and connect with your dog. It’s a symbiotic relationship that will boost both of your hearts - a true win-win x

Our dogs age fast. Quicker than you think! Play and exercise are great but don’t run them down. Build them up.

Keep them happy, engaged, soothed and strong. Adjust to suit where they’re at and be sure to extend their healthy life span by soothing and protecting their joints every day.

More swimming, sand and soft surfaces over road runs or jarring ball games. More grass play, less jumping out of cars, more real nutrition, less kibble and meal repetition.

More variety in games, in food, in movement and surfaces.

More awareness of the impact on their joints and what happens when they are damaged and degenerated. It’s not good. It’s painful for them to experience and for you to watch. It’s expensive to soothe once it’s gone too far. And when their pain is even beyond that then… you’re out of options.

Managing and mitigating our dog’s pain is essentially our number 1 job as a dog human.

Right now you have options. The best option is prevention. Soothe and strengthen naturally every day, every meal with our Golden Buddha Paste and our Mobility Medicinal Mushroom Medley. Get 20% OFF before midnight 6 Jan so you can make 2026 a better year of love and play for you and your dog.
