✨ Release the stress, save these 5 tips:

☆Release control. Don't sweat the small stuff, you've planned it already now let go and enjoy. Hire a day-of coordinator and let the professional take the reins, while you soak it all up.

☆ Prioritise deep connections. Spend meaningful time with people rather than fleeting seconds. A clever way to sneak in more time is to get up and move to seated guests just after dinner.

☆Protect your peace. A trend is to sneak away with your partner for 10 minutes of quiet reflection - but I would say don't do this if you're having lots of photos together, as you'll get time together then.

☆ Fuel your body. Sit down and actually eat that expensive food you picked out. But more than this: during photos - have a snack brought to you - it's often hard to have time to eat much on your wedding day and this is the perfect opportunity to have a small bite.

☆ Outsource your decision fatigue. If a problem pops up, just tell your vendors: "I can't think, I don't know what to do." Your team of professionals actually love looking after you and will happily step up to handle it.

Once a year, Tweed Coast wedding venues open their doors to the public. Sunday 23 August is the date to mark in your diary, and it is the day to gather your ride or die's and view venues all dressed up, meet suppliers showing off their work and grab a cocktail to explore some if the Tweed's prettiest acreages. You can register for the free event over at Tweed Coast Weddings to learn more about the day. I'll be in the Chapel at Summergrove Estate ~ come say hello!

The great changes I'm noticing about couples getting married this year are worth sharing. If you are getting married, these are the top takeaway tips as you plan:

1. Don't get swayed by external pressure and this applies to suppliers and the advice of friends and family. Your vision, budget and style is personal. For some reason a wedding invites unwanted opinions but if it was your birthday it would be a different story. You can just say, hey thanks but I'm excited to see my vision become a reality and for you to relax and enjoy it!
2. Don't do things because it's "what you should do". Include it if it's a vibe, delete it if it feels untrue.
3. Things that don't pan out are often total blessings. If you miss out on a venue you want, or the date you want, it might mean you get a venue that is more suitable in an unseen way or date that surprises you with cracking weather. Try not to force things into being one way.
4. Vows- you can opt to say your personal vows in private if you're not a fan of public speaking. Only a legal sentence must be said before your witnesses/guests.

Thank you to Rach of .atelier for this photo. Hit her up for wedding photography- she doesn't advertise, but she is an actual gangster at her craft.
