Willow Tree Sanctuary is a registered charity and not-for-profit, dedicated to rescuing and rehabilitating animals.

We work with farmers, private surrenders and local councils to rehome neglected, abused or at risk animals into loving environments, where they can live long and happy lives in safety. We are committed to creating a world where all animals are treated with dignity and with respect, through education, advocacy and through lived experiences at our sanctuaries throughout Australia. ary headquarters is located in the Byron Bay Hinterland, in addition, we have a group of dedicated fosters carers that work tirelessly to bring animals in need, into their homes and paddocks while they rehabilitate and await adoption.

I also bring myself inside as I please during the day to snooze in my crate. 😴

☀️ I love spending my daytime in the sunshine, patrolling the yard & garden fighting palm fronds, digging in the mulch and wrestling with my brother. 🐕

🦆 Willow Tree staff and volunteers were kept busy yesterday saving some extra small lives, after hearing the tiny terrified quacking of what turned out to be 5 baby ducklings stuck in a drain.

WTS staff worked tirelessly for 4.5 hrs trying to secure these tiny balls of drenched fluff, as they ran terrified between the tunnels and drains.

One by one we managed to lift the ducklings up to safety, animal and humans hearts all beating fast together.

Each precious baby was placed into a carrier with a warm heat pack, thankfully peeping and quaking calmed as they settle into the warmth.

The ducklings were taking to Currumbin Wildlife Hospital, with the goal to release back into the area they were found when ready.

Thank you to Tweed Valley Wildlife Carers and Currumbin Wildlife Hospital helping with this rescue.

All babies are now SAFE, warm and doing well.

All lives matter 💚
