Willow Tree Sanctuary is a registered charity and not-for-profit, dedicated to rescuing and rehabilitating animals.

We work with farmers, private surrenders and local councils to rehome neglected, abused or at risk animals into loving environments, where they can live long and happy lives in safety. We are committed to creating a world where all animals are treated with dignity and with respect, through education, advocacy and through lived experiences at our sanctuaries throughout Australia. ary headquarters is located in the Byron Bay Hinterland, in addition, we have a group of dedicated fosters carers that work tirelessly to bring animals in need, into their homes and paddocks while they rehabilitate and await adoption.

☀️The sun showed up today at Bangalow Showgrounds for one of our favourite days of the year - the Furry Friends Festival.

🎉A day that annually collects the region's finest and fairest doggos and their humans.

💚New friendships and connections were sparked, and old flames rekindled, as new and old foster carers and adopters popped in to say hello.

🐶We love days like this that allow so many hearts and paws to be touched, they are magical for us. ✨

🙏Thank you to the amazing WTS team, who always work so hard to spread our message, to the organisers and to all those that made it down despite the threats of mud and rain.

🔴 Everywhere is overflowing- lives are being lost daily in regional pounds. Please help us save lives by becoming a foster carer.

🐾These are just some of the dogs we are trying to help this week. Their future is grim without our help.

🐶 Staffy (f) - 6 yrs dog social, has been in the pound 3 months and her time is up.
🐶 Golden Retriever (f) - 4 yrs, Affectionate girl, prefers to be an only dog for now.

🐾 𝗠𝗲𝗲𝘁 𝗠𝗶𝘀𝘀 𝗟𝗶𝗹𝗹𝗶 🩷

😻 At 9 weeks old, Miss Lilli might be small in size but has a mighty soul with big beautiful green eyes that are ready to captivate you.

🧶 Her mornings start with zoomies across the room, followed by an intense focus on anything that moves – string, wand toys, balls including fingers and toes. Play sessions are short, fast, and pleasure to be apart of. When she wears herself out, she’ll find a cosy spot and have a long and well deserved nap.

🤗 She is cheeky, curious and playful once she gets to know you. Being so young, she can be weary of new faces but once settled, she'll show her happy little self.
