If you have followed this page for a while, you will know about the devastating loss of Zeus and Zephyr in March this year. It's been a long and sad road to travel.

Zeus left us an amazing gift, with a litter born just the day before a snake took his life. These kids have truly been a blessing and really helped with the healing process, and with any luck, they will continue their dad's legacy.

There are just not enough words to express what a special boy Zeus was. His name suited him to a T, he was big and strong and brave and all things good, and he was absolutely the King around here. Special from the day he was born and special until the day he left, gaining admirers and new friends wherever he went. True to his nature, he fought so hard to stay, but sadly this time, it was a fight he just couldn't win.

My heart is shattered, and seeing their empty yard and not being greeted by their happy faces every day is its own kind of torture. I do gain some comfort from the fact both boys will live on through their progeny. If you are lucky enough to have a Zeus or Zephyr son or daughter, please hug them extra tight tonight. 💔

These little guys are my ray of light at the moment and helping bring me some joy during sad times.

For those of you waiting on messages, please be patient with me. Zeus was readmitted to the vet on Thursday with a multitude of complications that have developed after his snake bite, and he is incredibly sick, so my focus is elsewhere at the moment. Please keep him in your thoughts.

Feeling absolutely devastated and can't believe this is my reality at the moment. Yesterday was just a horrific day with both of my wonderful boys, Zeus and his son Zephyr being bitten by a huge tiger snake. They were both rushed to the vet and treated, but sadly, Zeph didn't make it. Zeus is still at the vets and fighting hard. Please keep him in your thoughts.

Zephyr was the absolute life of the party, always happy, so full of life and energy. He was just the coolest kid around, never failed to make me laugh and smile at his antics. He was my big, lovable dork, and I will miss him dearly. Four years was absolutely not long enough to have him in my life. For those of you lucky enough to have one of his pups, please give them an extra big hug tonight.

Rest easy, my boy.
