Ear Infection Signs in Dogs & Cats 🐶🐱👂
Is your pet shaking their head more than usual or scratching at their ears? These can be signs of an ear infection.
Keep an eye out for:
Frequent head shaking or ear scratching
Redness, swelling or irritation
Unusual odour from the ears
Discharge or a build-up of wax
Sensitivity or pain when the ears are touched
Holding the head to one side
Changes in behaviour, such as being more irritable or withdrawn
Ear infections can be uncomfortable and may have different underlying causes, so it’s important to have your pet’s ears checked rather than treating them at home with leftover medication.
