Exciting news from Fairy Meadow Park!!
The new stable block is now complete and ready for horses and riders to enjoy!

Fairy Meadow Park is geared towards the serious rider wishing to have the opportunity to ride year round in facilities that will enhance their training, whether that be for competition or purely for the enjoyment of riding.

The property features an Olympic-sized 60 x 20m covered dressage arena with a well maintained surface and Jarrett Arena Mirrors, which will be soon upgraded to cover a full short side! Other features include two enclosed tack rooms, two hot/cold wash bays, timer controlled stable lights, safe paddock fencing with electric stand-offs, a round yard and plenty of float parking. Various disciplines are catered for with access to cavalettis and jump wings, trail riding and cross country training spaces.

Fairy Meadow Park offers full board for the busy rider, with expert care & round the clock supervision tailored to your needs. We are regularly serviced by high quality vets, farriers, body workers and saddle fitters to keep your horse in excellent shape. The small group of long term agistees often enjoy relaxed social gatherings in the stables and would love to welcome new like-minded riders. However, as Fairy Meadow Park is a boutique establishment, spaces are limited. We are located just 10 minutes from Bungendore.

Greg Powell horsemanship clinic to be held at Fairy Meadow Park, Tarago Road, Mount Fairy on the weekend of 8th and 9th June 2024. This clinic will be held in the undercover arena.

Weekend clinic participants fee $440 plus $50 arena fee.
Fence sitting per day $50 cash on the day (no booking required)

Horsemanship clinic -

Greg may touch on round yard work, putting each horse through a routine of “don’t change gait, don’t change direction” and lock on. These are great techniques which can also be transferred to on line ground work. This is also a great opportunity for you to speak to Greg about what is going on for you and your horse and what you may like support with.
Moving on to ground work. Working on softness, suppleness, respect on the ground through different exercises. These exercises support a safe ground relationship with your horse. Everything we work on the ground will also be improving your horse’s behavior therefore giving you a better ride as well.

We will do the bump to the fence exercise. This will help your horse be willing to look for the right answers and help participants know when to ask and when to release showing your horse what you are wanting in a very clear way.

We will also work on safety under saddle. We go through different exercises as a group. If you are not confident to ride or Greg does not feel the horse is ready to ride in the group setting you will be given other ground exercises to work on.

This clinic will help with a wide range of issues you may have with your horse or just to better your relationship with your horse or reintroduce you and your horse back into work. This clinic is relevant to horses and riders from all disciplines. The clinic aims to help horses and riders of all levels develop confidence and trust in each other, both on the ground and in the saddle.

Every clinic is slightly different from the next so it is hard to touch on everything. If you have a specific thing you would like to work on please let us know and I can speak about that more with you.

There’s is limited day yarding available. Booking is essential.

Crosswinds Perfect Eclipse aka Jeffrey at yesterday’s Carlos De Cleermaecker clinic showing some super trot and canter. Working on canter leg yield and counter canter along with leg yield and shoulder in in the trot. Jeffrey’s training is coming along very well with the work becoming more established. We also achieved our very first flying change!!!
