These last 2 Little guys are more then ready for their new family's.
Both are gentle, loving little pups.
They are now 10 weeks old, crate trained, sit and wait for their meals and go nicely on the lead for short walks.
All the hard work has now been done. 🥰

CR Dachshunds is a boutique program where quality is our focus. I'm a small breeder with only a few dogs - I've kept my little pack small so I can take them everywhere with me! All our adult dogs are DNA tested, and we live on a beautiful farm with lots of space for them to roam.

A bit of a late post due to an extremely buisy lifestyle.
But we welcomed an Ari and Opal litter last Wednesday.
4 healthy little babies. 2 boys, 2 girls.
Opal is a great first time mum. 🥰

THE LONGHAIR DACHSHUND.

Long Haired Dachshunds are the most glamorous of the Dachshund types, with a shining, silky coat that is straight or with a slight wave. The coat forms feathering on the ears, legs, and undercarriage and the tail should sport a silky flag of hair. The coat comes in a variety of colours, predominantly various shades of red and black and tans although there are other colours approved in the Australian breed standard.

Long Haired Dachshunds should be completely brushed and combed at least once a week. The extra hair between their pads and around their feet should be trimmed as needed. Their coats should never be clipped or shaved as once this is done, it will not grow back as silky and can sometimes grow back with a fluffy undercoat.

Special attention should be paid to keeping the ears clean as drop eared dogs are more likely to develop ear infection. Although a dainty eater, a long-coated Dachshund can sometimes get food on their long ears, so these may need additional cleaning.

Bathe them when needed, but not too often as their coats contain natural oil, which can be stripped with over bathing.

You will get lots of admiring looks when out walking with your beautiful long haired dachshund.
