Video was taken a couple of weeks ago (yes, I know I’m still catching up on posting!) You know the horse is a comfy ride when your missus hops on with no stirrups! She might be limping but she’s still a cowgirl!

You know the hoof trim feels good when this is your horses response!

Bella! You can’t be ripping his rug, I only got it today! This is why you two don’t get trusted with nice things. Thank god for horse paradise and second hand rugs!

Horse training when you’re crippled 😂 gotta get creative!

Danny was started in a rope halter, protecting his sensitive mouth while he learned the basics of yielding to pressure, rein and leg aids. He is now being transitioned into a simple snaffle to make him a more versatile riding horse. Given his size and puppy dog personality, it wouldn’t surprise me if he became the best friend of a horse mad little girl, so he is learning to lower his head reach for the bridle, and lower his head to have the reins put over his ears, making life easier for little arms.

It was sale yards last week and I forgot to share these cuties with you all. How unfair of me!!

Dinosaur mode! Getting the basics right makes life easier in the long run. Bella went back to primary school a couple days ago, practicing with tarps over her head. Which meant today, when it came to wearing a hood for the first time, she happily had it pulled over her head at Liberty in the paddock, even if Fin did put it on upside down the first time and blind her. (Maybe we should paint a “this way up” arrow on it for her 😜)

Not sure Bella is too impressed with her new dinosaur look though 😂 hard to explain to her it stops the rugs rubbing 🤦‍♀️
