The boys got their feet done today which meant the "squeal and sniff" routine had to occur when NP Myrddin (chestnut) went back into the paddock with his dad (Madison Park Paragon). Also in this video are our lovely boys Niskyze Park Hiraeth (Madison Park Celtic Charm iiu NZ x Westbury Heidi) (black mane) and 2yo c**t NP Madog (Madison Park Paragon x Rosa My Girl imp NZ).
Just a quiet moment :-) (except for the squeal!}.

Last to be weaned in June will be this little cutie, c**t foal Niskyze Park Morcar (pend.) (Niskyze Park Myrddin x Alpha Minima). Full brother to 2yo gelding Niskyze Park Maelon.

Next to be weaned will be Niskyze Park Sioned (Niskyze Park Brac x Madison Park Storybook). A lovely little filly :-)

Weaning week for the first of 2025/6 foals. Niskyze Park Daffyd (Niskyze Park Brac x Glynyarra Park Damsel) pictured today in his first rug, getting support from uncle Finn (Bracken Ridge Finnegan). During the first couple of weeks we like to keep their mums' close during weaning to help emotionally - Damsel is just out of shot in the shelter "next door", still able to touch and interact but without letting Daffyd drink from her.

Daffyd will soon have more company with his sister next to be weaned.

A little smokey here this morning! Bushfire now under control again. Surprisingly, despite having 30-odd horses up around the house together, last night was very calm and quiet :-).

We've got all the horses and animals close to the house now, just in case the fire jumps the freeway/highway. This means lots of photo opportunities!

Watching this bushfire behind our place and currently the other side of the highway. It has been so dry here it's like a tinder box - local RFS man said they've been busier in Autumn with escaped property backburns (since end of the total fire ban period) than all of summer.

"First cousins" 2yo Niskyze Park Pedr (chestnut) and yearling Niskyze Park Rhydian are recovering well after their gelding last week. As you can see in the photos, not even turkeys, chickens or guinea fowl will distract these two from their feeds!!!

Little cutie NP Pedr will be off to his wonderful new home in the next couple of months :-).
