While the weather rolls through, we’re grateful for seven years of drainage and earthworks. Dry paddocks and accessible laneways mean horses can stay comfortable and we can safely continue checks throughout the storm. That’s the sort of infrastructure you don’t appreciate until you need it.

Horses are rugged and loaded up with fresh hay rolls.

The farm’s been cleaned up so nobody gets taken out by a flying pink piece of Oak Tree View equipment.

Alex and Spook both got their rides in before the weather hit (which were both kinda great cause I remembered to breathe!)

Feeds are done, the treatment room is sorted, paddocks are checked, and the horses are as prepared as they’re going to be.

Now it’s time for pumpkin soup, bacon, and sitting under cover watching the storm roll in 💕

A HUGE appreciation post to Sarah Jane 💕

When Kevin lost a shoe, we were just hoping to find someone to pop one back on… which quickly turned into a full set, and then eventuated into adding pads too (with PINK glue of course 💕).

Sarah handled Kev like an absolute champ, did an amazing job, and complimented the king exactly as required 👑

So now Kev is officially ready for Mullewa, and has himself a new ongoing farrier too!
