🐣 We’re very excited to be welcoming some new birds to the flock! 🐣

Our chicks are only two weeks old, as they grow they’ll stay with various members of the group before they are big enough to join the full flock.

The black Australorp/New Hampshire Cross birds are called a ‘utility breed’, because they lay so well and are easy to care for. We’re loving watching them grow in size and confidence as they start exploring. Aren’t they adorable 💛

Thank you to everyone who visited our fundraiser stall at Harvest Festival last month! We had such a fun day sharing our baked goods, preserves, flower bunches and other chicken themed goodies. With the funds raised we’ll be adding more Aracuana chickens to our flock in spring (a much loved breed amongst our group and the community that visits us) and buying brand spanking fancy water feeders for our chickens so they can enjoy the freshest sparking water all day long.

Here today until 3pm! Cakes, treats, preserves & chook tours! Lovely day for it 🌤️

We have installed an old laundry sink as a water trough for our new flock of black and white leghorns who have been settling into their home the last few weeks. Plentiful supply of fresh water is super important for birds particularly in hotter weather like today! Thanks very much to for the donation!
