Steel Equestrian is a boutique Eventing yard based on 30 acres in the picturesque Adelaide Hills.

With over 20 years experience in the equine industry I still love the challenge of training and conditioning these unique athletes.

How lucky am I to get to ride not just one but TWO top level imported stallions! Thanks Ty Zoontjens for letting me ride the lovely Jurre van'e Gaestdyk who competes to Grand Prix dressage. He showed off all his tricks including piaffe/passage, tempi changes and even canter pirouttes! Such a sweetheart and didn't put a hoof out of place, all in between collections (so far he's been used in TAS, QLD, VIC and WA!!).

Bit of a different view today! Got to have a ride on the lovely Jurre fan'e Gaestdyk between his collections. Such a good boy in the middle of breeding season!!!

Wow! Unsurprisingly given he's such a unicorn 🦄we've been inundated with enquiries about CD! I think I've gotten back to everyone and he has a trial tonight :) If I've missed you please let me know. I also have some young stock for sale so let me know what you're looking for!

The youngest of the Brookside foals is a cracker and being a c**t is looking for somewhere he can grow up and reach his full potential!

Leo is a delightful, elegant and leggy c**t with correct conformation, a pretty head and just the right amount of bling. He is playful, bold and inquisitive and reminding us very much of his older brother Brookside Clarendon in both type and temperament!

Another super Brookside gelding ready to find his new person!

Chico is a modern, athletic gelding bred to excel in the jumping disciplines while having a temperament that makes him super rideable and suitable for the amateur rider. I believe he will particularly excel as an eventer with a wonderful combination of jump, movement and blood in his pedigree (71% TB). He is a sweet natured horse who loves a cuddle and would appreciate forming a bond with his rider and being someone’s ‘number one’.

Rising 3yo gelding by Kentucky vant Rytershof out of a Cassini II mare.
Kimba is the ultimate jumping package with the talent to be a proper contender at the top levels combined with a temperament that makes him suitable for amateur riders. Working with him recently has painted a picture of a young Quintago I as they are similar in type, scope and temperament!

Quintago I is settling in well to his work routine in SA after a spell to recover from his big trip! Absolutely LOVING riding him - I fall in love more every ride :) So blessed to have him in my life! Thanks Erin Fitzgerald/Brookside Horses for sharing him with me. Can't wait to get some jumps in front of us!
